Hello everyone,
Great forum spirit here :) I have found this forum recently or about 2 weeks ago. I took my gmat for the first time and the results are as you see 430..Quant 30 Verbal 19...I thought I'd be around 500 or 550...I don't know what to do next..I have applied to 5 universities-2 in Canada-Concordia Investment management program and Un Of Toronto- Mathematical Finance..I really want to get into one of those two but I'd have to try harder..Now my dilemma is that I have also applied to Information Security program in Lewis University,Il , Business analytics at Drexel and Actuarial science at Maryville...I am pretty sure I'll be accepted there.I have some previous experience in a foreign bank, investment banking firm in Manhattan and wealth management in UBS AG in New York.I have very well written motivation letter and letters of recommendation from my ex superior at work and some of my professors.I have graduated with a finance major from St. John's University last year and I was an international student there. Now the question is..do i sit down and study for about a month or so for the next gmat date which is around 10 April or 16 April..which gives me aroind 40 days or less to prepare and get arround 550-600-650 mark or..stop relax and take the actuarial science program or the information security..These two universities are not near the top 100...However I look for something that will increase my chances of landing on a job...I don't know how are things in Canada but the programs they offer are great..Money is no object here.I can afford to pay anywhere however I am sure I will probably get some scholarship.I had the Barrons 13th edition done for the gmat.I recently got the Manhattan books..So please recommend me a place to start if you think I should perceive my dream of getting into Concordia or Toronto..Bad thing is they only accept total of 90 students.. for both universities....so chances are slim...
Thanks in advance :)

Cant comment on Manhattan books but generally have heard good things about them.To improve verbal focus on improving ur reading skills by reading dry material such as that found in the economist,WSJ and keep solving daily official gmat questions(Be it OG,gmatprep).
Also, purchase gmatprep question pack,it is very good!
