A. With --- sounds as if the US citizens possess 5% of world population; contrast is missing B. As – comparing 5% with the US citizens; contrast is missing C. Being –being renders the choice wrong; contrast is missing D. Despite having --- citizens are said to be having 5% of population - wrong E.
