Hi Guys,

Below is a very simple, basic, but important list of words which i SCAN for to check & identify any possible error in SC Questions (sorted by Error type):

Parallelism Indicators: and - or.

Tense Indicators: In recent years, Sense, words that trigger time.

Agreement Indicators: is/are - has/have - was/were - plays/play.

Comparision Indicators: As/Like - Than - Equal TO - Compare To - Diffrent from.

Placement Indicators: Only - All - Following.

Those words are error signals, i found them very helpful, if any one want to add to the above list please go ahead!

form of "to be" + past participle = passive voice

For example:

The city has been scorched by the alien's fire gun.

When her house was invaded, Jane had to think of ways to take her revenge.

Apart from what you have mentioned below, IMO -

Idioms (cant list all of them) - they are absolutely important. You can save a lot of time & effort if you know them throughly.
Tenses - Manhattan SC's has them listed.

Words - which, being, having
