Hello All,
I have been browsing this forum for a few months now and thanks to all the posts by people sharing their experiences, I have been able to motivate myself and prepare for the GMAT.
I know that many of you out there are working at the same time as preparing for your GMAT.
All I really want to do is shut myself at home, refuse any contact with the outside world and study for my GMAT. Ofcourse this is not possible because I work 5 days a week. So, beginning in March I seriously dedicated atleast 2 hrs during weekdays or more and approximately 6-7 hrs during the weekends. My score on
MGMAT CATS have been as follows:
Feb-MGMAT1 570
March Beginning MGMAT2 500
March Mid:
MGMAT 3:650 (some pauses needed to see if I knew all the content)
March End GMAT Prep 1 :650, no pauses
April Beginning
MGMAT 4: 660, no pauses
I have scheduled my test for 20May 2008, I really need to push my score above the 700+ boundary.
I was thinking of taking a week off before the exam but not sure if that is going to be possible as I have already booked my holidays in July to the U.K (I work in Candaa, so going to visit prospective universities and arranging for recommendation letters etc).
My verbal score i definitely weaker than my quant. It has stayed consistently at 34-35. My quant score on the last exam was 47.
How many questions on the 1000 series is really sufficient to increase my verbal? I would like to focus on doing full length tests, but it sure does take some time to review each test. Hence the need to lock myself in my room and focus.
If you have a few suggestions please feel free to contribute. I know I can do this(I keep telling myself this anyway), what would be a good strategy to apply here? I have gone through the
OG 11 and the quant & verbal review atleast once, some areas twice. Would it be advisable to focus on the
OG and leave out other sources?
Wow I think this is long enough, but you get the gist. What would you advise?
Thank you!!!
