I'm not sure if a name change is absolutely necessary. THe comment about the natural progression is great insight. Maybe we need to expand the efforts to ideas for marketing that GMATClub is more than just GMAT. GMATClub: The GMAT is only the beginning. GMATClub: The journey of an MBA begins with the first Sentence Correction. MBAJourney MBA Ward - because we're all a little crazy B-School Kitchen: 1 Part GMAT, 2 Parts B-School to make the perfect career. B-School Survivor: Each week, 1 forum user is voted off, who will it be this week? Riverripper takes on Kryzak...Kellogg v Haas, don't miss it! Be sure to tune in next week as jallenmorris will finally pull his head out! Will we see what he looks like or will he be covered in...well, ya know. I think once people get to the website, it's quickly realized that this place is much more than the GMAT, and actually, the GMAT seems to have become a smaller part of it. That might be the time of year since apps are being discussed so much right now.

I am against the name change! however... if u really wanna do it maybe MBAinn INN suggests theres a community of mba aspirants inside friendly atmoshphere inn-inside and the name translates to if u wanna get ur MBA come inside

I agree that GMATClub sounds misleading, but ClubMBA sounds like we already have MBAs. I think something something that indicates we are trying to get in MBA school.

I think we should emphasize the "road" part of the MBA, much like river said.
What this place does best is making you realize how appying to B-school is really a self-improvement path, something that goes not only beyond the Gmat, but also beyond the MBA (e.g. jallenmorris is not going to apply I think, I would love in some way to see more people like him, who embark on this demanding process and possibly end up not applying).
I second every name who has the progression theme in it ("Road to MBA" as a mere example), and even more so if it has a reference to self-improvement and sharing.

If we decide in favour of a more conservative option – i.e. to leave the name GMATClub – perhaps we still could add some sort of an explanatory motto, which would tell that we are more than just GMAT.

The problem is that adding in textspeak is completely contrary to the MBA side of things (even in an internet setting) and there is no ampersand on web pages. Using "2" instead of "to" is criminal. You may well experience this when you are contactable by the world at large who "would like 2 no more about yr Program". I like a lot of names that would work better with ampersands (GMATandbeyond or something like that) but it just doesn't work. Some of the ones above seem quite good. At the same time, I don't think the pull of MBAs is ever going to work - it really is a flow through. I can't see why changing the vision statement should need to change the brand.

I am not sure the name needs to be changed. People come here searching for GMAT-related stuff, they find it, later they discover that the forum offers much more. Sounds very natural. In case a change is inevitable, I'd suggest something like MBAClub with the same logo, or similar to the same logo.

I could go either way on the name change. If someone is able to think of a name that covered the whole process, I would be for that. However, I think names such as mbaclub or clubmba seem even more narrow than gmatclub. Those names imply that this site would be for current mba students or possibly mba graduates. Also, I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it (e.g., "New Coke" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Coke).
