A) x=1/y ..doesn't tell us anything
B) X<>1 hmmm, so what?

A and B, no conclusion.

a) x=1/y or, y = 1/x
hence, x + 1/x = (x^2+1)/x ...this won't be zero.
b) x=1 .. okiee y=-1 ..result will be zero.
when y<>-1, the result won't be zero . B s not sufficient.
