1. \(y\) equals to the arithmetic mean of \(x\) and \(z\)
2. \(x = -z\)

1. Insuficient: could be consecutive x=3, y=4 or z=5, or not x=2, y=5, z=8.
2. Insuficient: x=1, y=0, z=-1, or x=-2, y=0 and z=2.

I chose E.
