XY=X^2 ? => Is X(X-Y)=0 ?
And the answer is Yes if X=0 or X=Y.

1) Y(Y-X)=0. Y=0 OR X=Y. Insufficient.

2) X=Y OR X=-Y. Insufficient.

Together => X=Y. Sufficient.
