Sorry to ask, but are there any other forums that are updated as frequently as this one?

I feel you on the nerves, I just hate the wait (and the weight).

I don't think there are, but I'm steering clear, regardless. Signing off!

The killing silence... But judging from previous years the thread will explode right after the calls come in. I'm in Asia so guess I should just wait for email (?)

Last year they notified everyone two days before decision day, so it would have been yesterday. Two years ago they didn't send any notices until 3pm decision day. I was hoping we'd find out early, but it looks like we're going to find out decision day unless we start hearing about some calls. I assume they call all throughout the day starting from 10am to 4pm.

Or maybe it's just that the forum has much fewer participants than last year... The Class 2013 thread hit ~40 pages around R1 decision time last year. We're at page 11.

I've noticed that as well. I feel like there are a lot of "lurkers" (not using that term in a bad way), but I would expect that once someone hears they would post up on the board anyway. I was a lurker up until the week before my interview.

I would call but I'm going to assume they will tell us to wait until tomorrow.

Just got into this "online chat" and the first sentence I saw was "all emails went out".

Then realized they were talking about stanford...

My heart sank after reading the first sentence and then perked up after reading the second.

Sadly, chat is blocked at my employer. Looks like I'll be forced to hit refresh over and over while waiting.

Does anyone know how the application screen looks after acceptance?

Right now when I log in I get the single line screen that shows: 2012 Round 1 Submitted, with "2012 Round 1" a link to the application itself. Does anyone know if this "Submitted" changes to Accepted, Waitlisted, and Rejected (or some other less harsh word)?

It usually doesn't say anything on the application screen, but has a link to 'Your application decision' where you have the official letter from Bruce. If they really are doing the calls this year, this will mainly be a formality for those who've been accepted.

You will likely hear later this afternoon or tomorrow - they were still finalizing the list yesterday. Good luck and keep the hope up and go do something fun instead of staring at your phones. (I know, easy for me to say) Also, you will get calls, so no use in checking your application status.

You guys are all on it! Now, go get a drink to celebrate. Also, something to look forward to - a year from now when you are finishing your finals, Student Academic Services will have a champagne party at lunch for you!
