when a school throws around the term "yield" what does it refer to? 1. the ratio of ppl who were accepted to the ratio of those were applied 2. the ppl who matriculated to those that were accepted

His class had a surplus of students. For some 10 consecutive years the adcoms were correctly able to send out the right amount of acceptance such that the incoming class was within 5 students of their target number. His class had over 20.
