Hey, everyone!

I am particularly interested in the Schulich school at York - they seem to get high marks for nonprofit, public interest, etc.

But I have to say - it seems that this name carries little prestige on this side of the line. (I'm an American and will probably stay here.)

My Canadian friends, though, get excited when I mention York.

I'm afraid I don't know much about non-profit etc.

But as an mba school york would be my last choice in Canada. The impression I get is that York is very easy to get into. The avg age is younger than most schools.

If I were you, I would rather go to a top 20 - 30 US school instead.

I agree with Fluffy. I dont really have any desire to go to York. It sometimes gets high rankings because it has a lot of options and a diverse student population. They seem to have very specific streams though (i think that there is 10-15) specializations) which I don't like. The program seems to only be good if you know EXACTLY what you want to do after and it fits with one of their options.
