You have a group of 10 teachers, 4 teach French and 6 teach Spanish or German. How many groups of three can you make that contain at least 1 French teach?

# of ways to form a group of 3 out of 10: 10C3 = 120
unfavorable outcomes where there are no french teachers: 6C3 = 20
Favorable outcomes: 120-20 = 100

Agree 100..
Group of 3 = Prob of 1 french + Prob of 2 French + Prob all 3 are french
=4C1*6C2 + 4C2*6C1 + 4C3
= 100..
