Zapa, a shoe manufacturer, sells shoes to retailers in only two countries, Germany and The Netherlands. German retailers constitute 65% of the retailers Zapa deals with. Do the German retailers that carry Zapa shoes for both men and women outnumber the Dutch retailers that do so?
(1) More than half of Zapa's German retailers carry Zapa shoes for both men and women.
(2) If x% of Zapa's German retailers carry Zapa shoes for both men and women, (x+40)% of Zapa's Dutch retailers do so.

A is the number of retailer that Zapa deals with
(1) just tells that if x% of Zapa's German retailers carry Zapa shoes for both men and women, so x>50%
(2) tells that in German G=x%*0.65*A sell shoes for both men and women then N=(x%+40%)*0.35*A in Holland do so
If G>N <=> x>46.66%
So C it is.

assume Zapa deals with 100 retailers in both countries
german = 65 netherlands = 35
z = german retailers carry both thus 65-z is geram retailers who dont
y = netherlands...............................35-y is nethrlands who dont

max x% could be 60% and let minimum = 1%

Statement 1:
German retailers carrying both men's and women's shoes >32.5%
INSUFF
Statement 2:
Dutch retailers carrying both men's and women's shoes = (35x/100)+14
German retailers carrying both men's and women's shoes = 65x/100
Without knowing x, cannot be solved. INSUFF
Putting 1 and 2 together, we know x>32.5. So can be solved.
