32. Zigfield bought his car using M% of his bank savings. He also bought a house that costs 4 times the price of the car. What is the price of the house?

(1) M = 12.

(2) The price of the car and the house was $140,000. From the stem, Car = (MS/100) where S is savings. Also House = 4*Car (1)This just gives M, we need even S to know car's price. (2)C+H = 140K i.e., 5*C = 140K So, C and thus H can be determined. Thus B is the answer. I hope no surprises are in store for me. saurya_s wrote: 32. Zigfield bought his car using M% of his bank savings.
