I found GMAT Pill online through a couple of GMAT blogs. I am an Engineer by degree, and have always found the quantitative section much easier to comprehend. I took the GMAT once already, scoring a 680 (49Q, 34V). I was unsatisfied with my score, since I have been studying for 8 months and have been using a different GMAT online class.

When I started working through GMAT Verbal Pill, I liked how Zeke really breaks down the entire argument from start to finish. I realized why my verbal score wasn't improving. It wasn't about finding the RIGHT answer for me, but about eliminating the WRONG answers. After I learned the patterns with obvious wrong answers, I could easily eliminate 1 or 2 answer choices right off the bat without much hesitation. This increased my confidence and accuracy. This strategy was useful for all the verbal sections.

I rescheduled my GMAT for exactly 1 month later, and scored a 710. I couldn't be happier! If you still have doubts, remember there is no substitute for hard work, but the study methodology that the GMAT Pill instills is great. Thanks for everything Zeke!

You get to go into the mind of Zeke, and it is pretty impressive how he can dissect a problem and come with the correct answer. You must be disciplined enough to retrace your steps with EACH problem to gain the most significant improvements. It was great having a plan and to think like he thinks. I improved 120 points from 430 to 550 so I know this stuff works. I am not trying to get into Harvard but with a little more practice I know I can keep improving to get the score that I want. 120 points in 3 months!!

The only thing I will say is the formatting of the website is a little choppy and can get a little confusing if you are an unorganized person. But with discipline anything is possible. Definitely give it a try if you really want a tutor but a fraction of the price.

I had taken the GMAT once already and scored a 680. I wasn't sure how to bump up my score to the 700 club. Took a few free courses on the GMATpill and though initially I was reluctant because I felt the teaching wasn't as organized as Magoosh (which I previously used and was great for building my base), I decided to give it a shot and followed their 30 day plan. Honestly, I found the teaching style to be a little distracting at first and the User Interface was not as clean as I would have hoped, but I stuck with it, and before I knew it, I had a really strong mastery of the Verbal section.

Something about this program was really making me make big verbal score improvements which was the big driver of my score improvement and confidence in beating the GMAT overall.

There is some genius below of the surface of the GMATPill that you absorb unknowingly - that's exactly what happened to me.

Additionally, the personal touch by the GMATPill tutors answering my questions was super helpful and following their 30 day plan helped to keep me disciplined.

I was working extra hard at work during this time period and I only had one more shot at the GMAT before my apps were due. The day of my 2nd test I felt far more confident than the day of my first test on which I scored my original 680 (I think a little of that score on test 1 was thanks to luck)...took GMAT #2 with no clue what I would get... and finally on the final screen of the test saw my 700!!! All thanks to GMATpill for refining and refocusing my study habits...

The GMATPill is a good tool to beat the GMAT. You have to stick to it and really try to understand the concepts. And though you may not see it in the first 2 weeks, it actually will help! The practice questions were very helpful and it was all I used to practice before my 2nd GMAT. It worked! Thanks to Zeke and his team I did join the 700 club!

I'll be heading to Kellogg in the fall!

Good luck everyone!

I wanted to thank GMAT Pill, since I believe it is the main reason I had such a great score the second time I took the GMAT. The first time I scored 640.

It mostly helped me with the verbal part, which as non-native speaker with an engineering background, was my main weakness. I had tried MGMAT the first time and scored poorly.

Although I believe MGMAT material are well put together and comprehensive, I believe they have too much information to digest in a short period of time. The GMAT Pill thought process for each section of verbal and quant was very clear, concise, and logical.

These attributes made the Pill easy to understand, assimilate, and repeat. I had so much more confidence when tackling the verbal questions, since I knew exactly what to do and how to do it.

As a result my Verbal score jumped from 31 to 40.

Attached is my official score report.

On November 17 I got a 650 - decent, but not good enough for the schools I wanted - Columbia, NYU, UCLA...

Application deadlines were tight and I needed to improve quickly. I immediately looked around and heard so many good things about GMAT Pill - I just had to try it. And I'm so glad I did!

Because on December 20, (you have to schedule your exam at least 1 month after your previous take) I broke 700 with a 720. Interestingly, my verbal went all the way up to the 97th percentile to V44.

My quant improved as well. I was pretty bad at first with Q39 (48th percentile) - which is the main reason for my retake. This time I went from Q39 to Q45. Considering I am pretty bad with math - this is a monstrous move up for me.

I could not have made that leap from 650 to 720 without GMAT Pill - so I really have to take a moment to show my thanks.

Some insights:

* I was already decent with verbal - but somehow the GMAT Pill videos put me on steroids. It just made me that much quicker and confident.

* The concepts, frameworks, and practice questions were organized and easy to access. There were PDf downloads for each section and some included some really impressive lessons. These handouts were helpful for review purposes.

Even after studying the MGMAT SC book - I learned a ton of little tidbits that were actually more useful for exam purposes. GMAT Pill really focuses on only the most important elements, rather than drowning you out with all kinds of fancy details that don't matter in the end.

* RC Pill pointed out some really revolutionary ways of reading passages efficiently. I was already decent before, but RC Pill really did it for me. I'd say this is the part that was probably most responsible for my push up to 97th percentile verbal.

* They don't just teach you rules or concepts.

GMAT Pill is really good at SHOWING - and not just telling. I thought this made all the difference in the world.

As Zeke says - it's all about the "thought process" - this is where audio/visual stimulation beats boring books.

* I have to say the Practice Pill Platform is a world-class platform. It's basically a separate part of the site that contains hundreds and hundreds of questions all categorized by how many other people got it right/wrong, what your response was, and all those stats.

And it was just exciting to see all kinds of other students there - you can see which users chose which answers for a particular question. There are people from India, Thailand, Jamaica, US, etc - it's crazy.

Each question appears just as it would on the actual exam - except you can click "show answer" to see the GMAT Pill video explanation. And you can also post your question below it. You can also see what other student questions are and what previous responses to those questions are. So in that way, you can learn from other people's mistakes.

* I was amazed by the clarity of the quant instruction. They covered every little detail from all kinds of number sequences, exponents, and even OG video explanations. All of these concepts are organized and subdivided in the PS Pill page.

* Zeke did math on the screen almost as if he were my private tutor - just online. It was very helpful to see what exactly Zeke would write down on a scratch pad - as he does the math. This helps me understand what I need to write down and what I need to or do not need to calculate. This is exactly what I needed for quant.

* I did find the iPad app to be immensely useful as it made the learning experience that much more enjoyable! So be sure to make use of it. I didn't hear much about it before - so thought it's worth pointing out.

I'm proud to be a student of this whole online learning revolution and I do have to say GMAT Pill is the best I've seen or heard about.

Stick to the Stanford guy - GMAT Pill is the way to go!

I just took my GMAT and was ecstatic to see that I scored a 720 (Q49, V39). I would have never been able to do this without the crisp, easy to understand and effective instruction videos available at GMATPill.

I learned about GMAT Pill when I was looking for good strategies to improve my skills on the verbal section. Obviously, I was initially hesitant to sign up for this program just because I had never heard of them and didn't know anyone who had used their program. However, after going through numerous reviews on GMATPill website, on GMAT Forum and out on the internet, I decided to signup for their program. I was also impressed by their "no advertising" policy and the pricing on the 6 Pill combo pack - Can't beat that price for private tutoring from a Stanford graduate!!

I went through numerous GMAT study guides and I can certainly vouch that GMAT Pill is the best out of all of them. This is one of the few programs that target specific question types in both the verbal and math section. I was able to accurately answer the majority of questions within a very short period of time using GMAT Pill's strategies.

I highly recommend GMAT Pill to anyone who is seriously considering getting into a 700+. I believe this is the course that offers the best value at the best price!

I purchase all pills on May 25 2012. I started using pills seriously in Sep 2012. Prior to that I completed Manhattan GMAT Books, which by the way are also not sufficient. When I started taking mock tests in November 2012 I realized that I was not able to score > 600 ever. This was evident in my actual GMAT score also. This was my first GMAT so cannot provide %age improvement.

During my studies I faced lot of technical difficulties as Question links will not work or videos will not work. After informing support, they would start working but other questions would continue to not work. This was true for RC, DS sections which seemed to be least browsed sections. I believe product was not tested properly before making it available to general public.

Videos on their own are very informative but there is no information on how to apply those techniques on questions.

Personally I felt that GMATPill is for people who are conceptually very strong and need different approach. I do not think this course is sufficient as standalone material. I would not recommend it.

To Zeke for GMAT RC Pill !

Before I write my GMAT, I thought of writing a word to you about my RC Pill experience till now.

It had been a while that I tried the various resources, right from Live Classes of Princeton Review to Manhattan RC Guide and all of them left me frustrated till the time I discovered the GMAT RC Pill. It has given me the required improvement to 85% accuracy from 50% accuracy, helping me to boost my verbal score.

Zeke, I have always struggled to find time to study because of my earlier consulting role and now because of my newly started venture. GMAT Pill gave me the enough flexibility to wrap up the course in a short span of time and to develop the right skill sets to crack a RC passage. The framework method really works wonder and this was easy to relate to my earlier work of consulting/analysis too. Also, the way to cut off the fluff really helped me to diminish the reading time by concentrating only on the relevant stuff. Last not the least, you stand to your words of reply within the 24 hours. I have repeatedly shot 4-5 query mails on a regular basis and you have effortlessly replied to them within the stipulated time. I bring this point as I have found this not to happen with another GMAT online prep company, though they claim to do so.

Zeke, I hope that you continue with the same zeal to help us to achieve our dream GMAT score.

Hi all,

I was doomed with a 570, then got a 620 twice and was left absolutely helpless. I was in constant touch with Zeke throughout my journey from 570 to the second time I got 620. But the craziest part is that, I was simply asking what to do in general, and never signed up for GMAT Pill services. The number of mail exchanges was close to 40+ and I was still only mailing about the strategy, finally left with confusion to pick that right prep company - ultimately choosing none of them and ending up so badly. It's all so natural that I tend to think too much of myself, a sense of overconfidence. I had this habit of doing over-engineering of a solution, esp in CR and trying to beat the bush instead of employing a structured, logical style.

After I got the second 620, I mailed Zeke again saying I desperately need this 50+ money back, but again I'm confused here. There are two companies that offer this - Knewton & GMAT Pill. I had no clue about both of them. But since I had been chatting with Zeke for a while, I decided to ask this directly. I was told that Knewton does go through a comprehensive syllabus, and employ a fancy technology in teaching. But, as far as I'm concerned, it was not the syllabus that I was lacking, but just the strategic approach. I knew I have to get that psychological thing to stretch out and read boring passages at the end and go through that test approach systematically. So, I decided it was GMAT Pill. Meanwhile, I saw this ad. - e-gmat - For non-natives. This kinda pulled me and I was going nowhere in the midst of so many confusion. I had to validate and pick my gut decision. I thought e-gmat again was going to teach me language reasoning or whatever, but I always reckoned I knew it. Also, the word non-natives didn't kinda excite me since I've been a good reader all my life and I thought nativity may not have that big a role in reasoning patterns in a language. (just my opinion, rather a differentiation at that level didn’t seem enticing to me).

So, I moved on with GMAT Pill. Got a 710. Not that great of course, but remember I was too low in confidence with my history of scores and I just managed to get it out of my way.

I just didn't learn any new grammar rule or math formula, It Was Just The Approach.........

Thanks Zeke.

Best,
Raghupara

I was a month away from my test and was not confident I could score above 700. Reading the back of the OG I knew verbal would be the most important part of the test. I read somewhere that Zeke thought the same.

I wasnt super confident in my SC so I signed up and went for the whole package. I only had a month to use the material but the SC stuff was very good. It teaches you how to solve SC without memorizing a punch of weird grammar mumbo jumbo.

I started scoring above 700 on the practice tests and was fairly confident I would do well on the test.
Then I got sick. Really sick the night before and I could not sleep. I went to the test center almost throwing up and sleep deprived.

I didnt think quant went well but I cruised through the verbal section with 8 minutes to spare. I didnt want to see the score but clicked ahead. 710! I was really happy and the verbal helped my score a lot.

I cant say enough about the product and how great it worked out for me.
