My consultant was Amy Bergrud and she was absolutely great to work with. We all have our strength and weakness in our application, and Amy was able to give me immediate action plans to improve the weakness on my application as well as strategies to highlight the strength just in our first phone conversation after signing up.

I appreciate the fact that she was very realistic on telling me where I placed among the competition, and what exactly I needed to do to get into my dream schools.

Having someone that is an expert and used to work on the adcomm definitely is a huge advantage when it comes to creating the application. Amy was very detailed oriented and was able to help me clean up and transform my application. She was also very quick on responding to my emails, essay drafts or sometime even phone calls when I had ideas or questions. Furthermore, she even helps me breakdown whom are my best options when it comes down to asking for letters of recs. She definitely played in a huge part of the success.

When it comes to applying MBA, its a long process. But having Amy supporting along the way really helped me step my application game up.

I worked with Amy my consultant on more drafts than I thought she could even handle and am now going to Wharton. At one point I thought - she is going to send these back and tell me enough! But she never did. She always responded with great feedback. She was always very on the ball and responded quickly. She was always in touch, always a professional. I always felt she had my back and was giving me her best. She was always kind. She has served on an admissions committee and that background was useful but it was more than that. It was also the care she put into the applications, her writing skills and her ability to communicate with me and coach me. I utilized the interview tools that Stacy Blackman offered a lot and got feedback from Amy plus Bill. When the interviews came along I was very prepped and felt so calm because I knew I could nail it and wold not have surprises. I also knew how to handle things if a surprise did come up. Very happy to report that the hard work and investment in the team at Stacy Blackman Consulting paid off. Will forever be a reference for this terrific operation.

If you are anxious about the application process at all, I would highly recommend that you invest the money in Stacy Blackman.

First, they will find the right consultant for you. My GMAT scores were extremely low, 610, and I was paired with Amy who was able to formulate realistic goals for me as I started the process. We selected schools that fit me personally. Most importantly, she was able to read my anxiety and insecurities regarding my low score and help me be positive throughout the process.

Amy was responsive and helpful throughout every step of the application process. She was honest and straightforward. If we had an essay that wasn't perfect, she would tell me right away that it needed work and what needed to be done to fix it. She was the second set of eyes I needed during the application process and constantly found mistakes I overlooked.

Most of all, Amy acted as a great supporter and believer of me throughout the application process. If I was waitlisted or rejected from a school, Amy was able to keep things in perspective and help me understand different options I had to get into a school that fit me.

In the end, Amy helped me get into a top 20 MBA program, and I know I couldn't have done it without her and Stacy Blackman.

Thank you!

I am originally from Mexico City but studied my undergraduate degree in a small New England liberal arts college and my master degree in Canada. Therefore, when I decided to apply for an MBA program, I was a little hesitant of hiring a consultant company to help me with my application since I did not have a “typical” background. Before working with Stacy Blackman, I had already worked with two other private consultants. One American, one Mexican. Neither one fulfilled my expectations and only increased my hesitancy to work with a consulting firm. Nevertheless, I knew I needed help if I wanted to get into a top program. I googled some options and decided to give, Stacy Blackman, my last shot.

Right from the start, I noticed that SB was “the real deal,” and I was amazed on how professional and effective the people I interacted with at SB were. Despite doing everything in two very different locations, I always felt “taken care of” and relevant. Esther Magna recommended me to work with Amy. I did not know the caliber of the consultants that work at SB despite reading some bios on the company’s website (Based on my experience, one thing is reading the resume and another thing is experiencing the actual competence of a person). Therefore, I fully trusted the advice given that Amy was perfect for my case. I started working with her and I immediately noticed how good she was. She definitely exceeded all of my expectations for the consulting service. She was knowledgeable and empathic. She gave me the best advice on which schools I could apply to and what were my possibilities of getting in. We communicated extensively to make sure that my essays were perfect along with my resume and the documents for the admission process. I feel that she ended up knowing me very well and knew exactly what to write to make my application better. Without her help and input, I would have never gotten admission letters from amazing schools. By following this process with her, I ended up understanding in a much deeper way why I wanted to pursue an MBA. In the end, I understood that the admission process is a story and the better your story is, the greater opportunities you will have.

I have nothing but the best impression of the Stacy Blackman service. They really provide THE best online consulting for MBA admissions. I want to thank the Stacy Blackman team for going the extra mile to help me with my candidacy.

As the first member of my family to even graduate from high school, I did not have any built in mentors to help me with my applications to business school. A friend of a friend told me about Stacy Blackman Consulting and in a leap of faith I wrote one of the biggest checks I have ever written, buying a 5 school package. I knew that I wanted to do this right, and in perhaps a moment of insanity I took the plunge. I was extremely stressed, unsure about how to approach my applications and yet determined to make it happen. Within an hour of submitting that check, I started to calm down. I received a number of resources from SBC, and was contacted by Amy, my awesome consultant. Amy and I exchanged a bunch of emails and then set up a call that turned out to be game changing for me. In just a few hours, I had a plan. Schools were chosen, I knew what themes I would be emphasizing and the stories that I would tell. While I had some very unique aspects to my background, I also had major issues with my GPA. Amy helped me think through how to discuss the low grades, and we mapped out next steps. The rest of the process was a lot of hard work - I'm not saying it was a breeze, but having a guide to take me through, coach me, steer me with confidence, was incredible. I felt like Amy showed incredible patience with me - some late night stressed out panic session phone calls were the least of it. She also had a lot of creative ideas for how to tackle the essays. And she was funny and cool to work with. After the applications were in, I actually missed working with her and our multiple exchanges that took place every day. I am ecstatic to say that I was admitted to 3 of 5 schools, am attending my number one dream program, and am doing so with a significant scholarship. I highly recommend Stacy Blackman Consulting and know it was worth every penny.

I worked with Stacy Blackman Consulting and was admitted to 3/5 schools. I also received 2 scholarship offers. My consultant, Amy, was great to work with - she has a great sense of humor and is no bullsh*t. She tells it like it is and helped me put together a far better application than I ever could have on my own. She also irritated me at times when I sent her something that I thought was great and she told me it wasn't. But I needed that feedback and respected her directness and honesty. I sweated a lot working with her - she is demanding and pushed me to bring out my best. The SBC flight test was also an awesome benefit of working with these guys. I think that extra piece of feedback improved my application and gave me a sense of confidence when I submitted. In summary - I am in and have no regrets at all about investing a comparatively small amount of money up front to get it right. I recmmend SBC and already have to many friends, actually.
