My opening advice to anyone considering Empower: get in now before everyone realizes what a great prep company this is and Empower is able to raise its prices!

I somewhat started my GMAT journey last summer going the self prep route. It was unmotivating and unproductive-my score didn't budge an inch. I gave up for several months before deciding to give it a go one more time in December. I did some comparisons and since I didn't want to shell out over a grand for one of the big companies, decided on Empower. One of the best decisions I've made.

Their schedule kept me motivated beyond what I expected (I'm a sucker for a to do list). The lessons were user-friendly and information packed. And their general test-taking advice was extremely useful. But the kicker for me is that Empower's customer service is unbelievable considering how little they charge. I wrote some embarrassingly long, obsessive emails and someone from Empower always responded promptly with great advice and pointers. Essentially like a one-on-one tutor.

I don't expect that Empower will remain a small GMAT prep company for long. I credit them in a large part for my 760.

Bought its premium which involves both verbal and quant. Had a initial score of 620 (not great) and was able to improve it to 660 in a month or so.

They run you through a TON of exercises to and track your progressive scores. Clear and easy to follow interface and can actually see your progress throughout the tests that you do. You dont have to sit through a test every time and can actually just do them whenever you have time and will save your progress. Its nice to see a predictive GMAT score as you go through the test one by one as well.

Only cons I see is more the support and phone application when I was using it. The interface to complete on the phone was clunky and didnt really sync properly to your account.

Ravi was simply a fantastic course instructor. I had taken a couple of other GMAT prep courses prior to taking Ravi’s Veritas Prep course, and Ravi was by far the best instructor. He has the unique ability to distill complex topics into easily digestible lessons. His engaging teaching style and genuine interest in his students’ success make him an obvious choice. Furthermore, Ravi does a great job focusing on what students must know to be successful on the GMAT. I really enjoyed the class structure because I was able to practice problems under a test-day time constraint and diagnose my weaknesses and issues with problem approach. Ultimately, the course allowed me to be strategic in my test preparation and execute on test day. I highly recommend Ravi without reservation.

Hello! I would like to highly recommend e-GMAT for verbal course.
I started my GMAT preparation by joining a reputed coaching center. From beginning itself, my weaker area was verbal hence I concentrated the most on this section.

I would say I was doing fairly well by the time I was going to take my GMAT exam. I was scoring between 38-42 in all four GMAT prep exams in the verbal section. However, in the actual exam I had to settle with a very low score of V 29. During post analysis of my exam, I understood that my biggest fault was exam taking strategy. Other biggest mistake was my impression that my basics are clear in CR. However, I was really struggling in CR during the exam and surprisingly in SC as well, which was my biggest strength as per me. I understood that my basics and approach towards the problem was not correct.

I subscribed to e-GMAT Verbal course. The experience was fantastic. The interactive way of teaching with presentations was quite effective. All the basics are covered very nicely.
Along with that the teaching approach with "Pre- thinking" method is very helpful. Furthermore, the questions at the end of each topic and the detailed approach to solve the question helps a lot in understanding the approach.
Moreover, the question bank " Scholaranium" is one of the best things that I have found for verbal practice. The levels of questions are very good and resemble pretty much to actual GMAT. Along with that for me the biggest requirement was solutions to the problems. Scholaranium provided in depth solutions to all the problems with amazing "Pre- thinking" approach. I should surely mention the help we get from teachers in solving our doubts. The teachers are very strong and respond very quickly.

The result was a good jump to V34 in my second attempt. In my second innings also I was scoring between 38-40 in verbal section in GMAT preps but this time I was more confident in my approach to solving problems. I would say I could have got much better in verbal in my second attempt also but again I screwed up because of my glitch in exam taking strategy. But surely my confidence level and comfortness with questions were much higher this time.

All the credit goes to e-GMAT!

My first attempt score was 640. Finally scored 690. Split as follows:
Q-49
V-34
AWA-6.0
IR-4

Just two days back received the R2 results of ISB and have got admit in ISB Mohali.:-)

Thanks and Regards,
Prateek

I had a great experience in the Veritas Prep Live Online GMAT course. My instructor, Chris Kane, and his TA, Brandon Pierpont, managed to make 3 hour classes extremely entertaining and every class I had several moments where complicated concepts finally just clicked in my head.

Chris Kane did a great job at simplifying some complex concepts. He also made sure to focus on the key takeaways from each problem in order to highlight the different strategies that the test makers employ to trick the test taker. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a solid GMAT Prep course.

I recently gave my GMAT and scored a decent 740 ( Q50, V39, IR: 6, AWA: 6). Although, I could have done better but I must say that this score wouldn't have been possible without e-gmat great verbal sessions.

I started my preparation back in October 2015 in a similar manner as any GMAT aspirant would. I took up the Manhattan guides for the Verbal section and went through each of them properly. Following this, I gave my 1st GMAT Prep exam and scored a 740. I was happy and thought I was ready to take the exam. I had bought a KAPLAN guide for practice and their tests. I decided to give a few before making an appointment for GMAT. I scored a dismal 670 in my first test and after analysis of the same, I realised that I had got only superficial knowledge in Verbal section. I went online to review a full courses and ended up taking e-gmat Verbal online. Believe me, but that was one of the best decisions that I made in my GMAT journey. Their courses are very thorough and the supplementing articles are very informative. Their approach to understand the meaning first of any stem was essential and it proved very useful.
Their approach towards SC and CR was really very useful and although I think I could have scored much better, this score wouldn't have been possible without the kind of resources that e-gmat provided.

Kudos to you guys!

I'm no GMAT pro, but feel as though I should be one (4th time's a charm). Money is tight, but this resource so far is proving to be very helpful, and affordable. Having video explanations after each problem is super helpful. The price cannot be beat when you compare it to the other elite programs out there. It's very easy to sign up and start studying instantly. I encourage people to take advantage of such a great program. I was recommended to this by a friend who improved his score by 50 points which put him over 710. I didn't benefit as much as that friend of mine did, but I definitely got a better grasp of the general everything because of Magoosh. My best recommendation is that you take more than 3 months with Magoosh to have the best outcome happen.

Although i was good at quant , but i was not able to score beyond 48 . E-gmat quant course helped me in two ways :

1. Revise all my quant portion.
2. Increase my score from 48 to 50.

This is definitely a good source to build your concepts and practise. the quant course is exhaustive and I don't think anybody will need any other books apart from the official guide. The UI is very interactive and you don't get bored while working on the course. I would say Egmat guys have developed a new way and innovative way to teaching.
Use this course from the beginning of your prep to gain maximum advantage. Best of Luck!

e-GMAT Verbal online course helped me build confidence to write the GMAT Verbal section . I understand the basics now . It provides a technical approach to non-native speakers in order attack the verbal section .I would say you should try this invaluable tool from the beginning of your GMAT prep so that you gain the most. The course doesn't bombard you with multiple jargons. Instead it provides it own naming convention which is easy to understand and can be easily put to practise during the exam. The course is quite exhaustive and no other material is required for your preparation apart from official guides. Best of Luck !

I took the online Veritas course with Ravi Sreerama and it was a very positive experience. My GMAT score was 100 points higher than my first diagnostic. Without question, Ravi is talented at what he does. He was very transparent from the get go that if you want to improve your score, you must put in the work to do so. Despite being online, he kept the students engaged, and was very clear in explaining complicated concepts, and answering questions. Overall, the course, along with Ravi's own insights provided many time-saving strategies for the actual test, especially with the quant section (the section which i needed the most improvement). He preaches that for tangible improvement students must study as efficiently as possible and address their weaknesses head on. His class is definitely a value.
