The Instructor was not good at all for this class. I wish i would have opted for other course. I dont recomment Manhattan prep either. All they teach you in 9 classes are the questions fr4om the OG only, lIke 4 /5 OG questions in 3 hr session. I wasted my $1500. The Quant section was somewhat good but the verbal is very bad. I knew more things than him i think. By self studying you can get more knowledge than the 9 classes combined. Very bad. Also you have to take their books, there is no option of not taking their books even if you have those already. The books for verbal section are very bad.

I think Veritas is the best test prep company out there. Both my sister and I have used Veritas and found it to be excellent.

The content itself from Veritas was on the money in terms of how close it was to the real GMAT. I took practice tests from Kaplan and Manhattan Prep and definitely found Veritas to be the most realistic (the other ones were unjustifiably more difficult and not designed in the same manner as the real tests). I appreciated the fact that Veritas had broken down both the Verbal and Math into distinct lessons and distinct workbooks. Each workbook is filled with a review of the content, tips & tricks, and lots of practice questions. My only grievance with the practice tests is that you can't retake/reset them. I'm unlikely to remember content from 4 months ago, so would like to re-use them.

I scored a 500 on my very first GMAT exam in July. Four months later when I gave the actual exam, I got a 660. I could've scored much higher and plan to retake the test using Veritas' materials for prep again.

As for the instructor teaching the full course I took - Nick Strauss was fantastic. He had great tips for how to tackle the GMAT and was both knowledgeable and patient with inquiries during class. He was also thorough in covering all content from the books. The classes were held at a convenient time in the evening in a conference room on the 22nd floor of a skyscraper in Seattle.

I came into studying for the GMAT not knowing what to expect and with no prior experience. Steve was able to quickly get a grasp on my strengths and weaknesses were and start teaching the fundamentals of difficult questions instead of just teaching the tricks that can only get you so far. Steve was totally transparent and flexible when it came to scheduling, which made it very easy to engage, while at the same time was aware of the package that i had purchased and wanted to maximize what i got out of our sessions.

After my time with Steve I scored a 730! He's an all around great guy and does a wonderful job of teaching GMAT material.

I highly recommend Brian Prestia. Here’s why…
To give you a quick summary I improved a total of 60-70 points: in Quant 7 points (from 40 to 47) and in Verbal 6 points (34 to 40). My background is in Accounting and Finance so I thought* I would do well in Quant. That was not the case as I struggled to improve my GMAT quant skills.
I worked with Brian on mostly Quant over 5 sessions. I did 2 session of Verbal with Brian. By the time I started working with Brian, I had taken the GMAT once and booked 2.5 months of study time (mostly MGMAT). Brian first spent time learning about my strengths and weaknesses and guided me through developing a strategy that would work for me. Over our 5 sessions, I covered almost many of the different Quant question types, focusing more on the problem areas of course. The most important thing Brian taught me was to approach the quant section with logic and problem solving instead of using purely Algebra or mathematics. This may seem like a simple thing to do but it took a while to get use to this. Brian also helped me develop strategies for each question that cater to my strengths and go around my weakness. Brian shared his knowledge of the different question types and taught me how to think from the perspective of the test makers. After studying with Brian, I was able to develop a clear strategy for guessing, time management, multiple choice and data sufficiency problems. And on a deeper level for each type of question, for example how to approach a Data sufficiency Geometry question or numbers property question.
After meeting Brian and learning from him, I felt like I had wasted a lot of time learning everything, when I should have been focusing on developing strategies that cater to my strengths and practicing problem solving, not solving algebra and math problems.
For Verbal I only did two sessions, but I think Brian’s approach to Reading Comprehension and Sentence Correction really improved my score. He taught me how to use logic and reasoning to answer the questions and to focus on the why in the RC and to use reasoning for SC. I must have missed that in the MGMT guides. I’m sure I could’ve improved more on Verbal if I spent more time with Brian.
Brian was real with me and gave me the confidence and the tools to tackle the GMAT. He helped me develop a customized approach and was patient with me as I began to see and understand that test as he does. There is no doubt that Brian is a GMAT master. He is also a very calm and kind human being.
Having said all this, you still need to put in a lot of time and effort to get the score you want.

I like the course overall. The class was fun and engaging. As an ESL learner, I especially like MGMAT's SC book and the FOGV book. I like the way they teach Quant, but I do think it takes extra practice besides attending the course to ace the GMAT.

Additionally, I like MGMAT's student service. They are quick in response and helpful in terms of tailoring the course (time/location/make-up) and providing information that could be helpful not only to the GMAT but to the whole MBA application.

Finally, I scored 510(with 0 preps)for the first mock test, and three months later in a real test I scored 690, and another month later I concluded my journey of GMAT with a 740. I hope that is an encouragement to people who are on their way of beating the GMAT— don't give up, and you will get there!

Veritas Prep was great! The study materials are some of the most in depth that I have seen. Coming from someone who struggled with math, I was able to review the materials a few times and feel comfortable again with GMAT level arithmetic. Although the material seemed daunting at first, it was easy to retain after reviewing a second time and spending more effort on the Skill Builder sections.

Also, Ethan was a phenomenal teacher. He genuinely cares that you learn, and more importantly, retain the material. Everything was very well structured and easy to follow. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking for GMAT prep.

After cracking the official guide, I knew I would need all the help I could get. The Veritas full course was a great way to power through all the GMAT material without making any sacrifices. Ethan's class was a fun way to spend a couple evenings a week and allowed me to score a 710 on the GMAT.

The time and dollar investment is really negligible when compared against the value of really maximizing your performance. This is your career, after all.

My only complaint is that I scored 730 on the official practice test but couldn't quite seal the deal in a live-fire scenario. Good problem to have, I suppose.
