Ravi was the man. He knew his stuff cold and made sure that each of his students did as well. He wouldn't sugar coat anything if you did something wrong but would make sure to point out mistakes so you can learn from this. His teaching style, especially in the quant section, was extremely helpful for me. Would HIGHLY recommend taking one of his classes for GMAT prep. The live online is definitely the way to go if you can't attend in person as I used the on-demand course previously and regretted it big time. Veritas was kind enough to take that into consideration when pricing my live online course. Tl;dr - Take the live online course with Ravi!

I have been out of college for several years, and Veritas Prep gave me the foundation I needed to ace the GMAT. It was a very well-structured course, with plenty of reinforcement to make sure we reach the highest levels of understanding of the material. Their philosophy resonated with me, and I found myself enjoying this super fast-paced, highly time-intensive course. The best part of the whole process, of course, was Ravi Sreerama. Words dont do justice to how awesome he was. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for Ravi's course and you will not regret it. It is an expensive course, no doubts about that, and it is not for everyone. If you can afford it, you get high-quality instruction from top-notch instructors, high-quality course materials (better than MGMAT books IMO), excellent practice tests (better than MGMAT, more representative of the real thing), topped off by great customer service. Highly recommended!

I felt that the time was not used well. Some sessions were more valuable than others, but we very rarely got through all of the material. There was a lot of time spent with introductions and logistics with getting a video feed and asking questions. I think that I would have gotten just as much out of a recorded lesson. The instructor was not receptive in email contact. The first time I reached out it took a week to get a response and the second time I did not receive a response at all. Money is better spent in other programs.

Ravi and veritas were excellent. While I was taking the course, I was also enrolled in law school and taking a summer evidence course. Ravi was an amazing teacher who helped simplify all of the math for me. My math skills have declined seeing as that I completed all of my college math credits while still in high school and my degrees (Major: Political Science; Minors: Business and Sociology) did not require much math. I needed to get a grasp on some basic math principles in a manner conducive to attacking the GMAT. My verbal skills were already quite good because of my undergrad degree and the fact that I am already in law school. Ravi helped me learn the tricks to attack the GMAT Quant section. Do let my math score fool you, he truly is a great teacher. I just had a difficult time balancing an Evidence class as well as fully devoting myself to the GMAT Prep. Regardless, I would recommend Ravi to everyone. He truly cares about his students and is always available to help when needed. Veritas Prep is a magnificent company, and Ravi is an outstanding teacher.

I took my first GMAT at the end of May and spent the month of May studying so many different ways for the exam. I had all the books and materials suggested by my professors at school and I honestly thought I was going in highly prepared. I was wrong. After not achieving the score I wanted/needed, I knew something had to change. I did hours of research of who to take a course through, whether to go to a intensive weekend session or an in person lecture. I had originally signed up for a course during the spring semester that met each week, one night a week for 3 hours through Princeton Review, and just 10 days before it was scheduled to start, they cancelled it for low enrollment and couldn't offer me anything till may at the earliest, so I went about studying on my own. After taking the test and not getting the score I wanted, I found Veritas Prep. I was initially worried about the Live Online Course because I've always been a face to face learner. I'd taken an online course or two for school and hated them so I wasn't sold on this. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Not only is the quality high, the instructors are so comfortable with the technology that the classes run smooth and fast. Chris Kane blew my mind each class with his ability to teach the lessons while simultaneously reading the live chat we had on the side and responding to questions as we had them. It felt like we were in a real life class room having a face to face conversation. I was definitely more involved in this course than I normally am in my classes at school because there is no pressure of answering the question right, no one physically knows you so you aren't holding back on sharing your thoughts/opinions or what you don't understand. THIS COURSE IS 100% WORTH THE PRICE with many different date options, what nights it meets, who your instructors is, etc. (I watched the sample videos of instructors before choosing who to take because I know I learn better from certain types of professors).

I took the Veritas Prep Online course that met on Saturdays and Sundays. The course was a great way to improved my GMAT skills and also learn some helpful strategies. I feel that the course was very beneficial and provided a good foundation for my GMAT preparation. Ethan was a great instructor and was able to keep the class engaged throughout the lessons. He was very knowledgeable and helpful whenever a student asked a question. He had various "E-file" tips and strategies that went above and beyond the Veritas Prep provided material. I would recommend Veritas Prep and Ethan to anyone beginning to study for the GMAT or looking to improve their score.

I took the Live online course. While I must admit that I was apprehensive about an online course, Ravi's teaching style totally blew me away! There was one day that I couldn't attend one of Ravi's live sessions, and signed up for a make up session in another instructor's course. I don't mean to throw anyone under the bus, but I could see the difference in what sets Ravi apart! His classes are so engaging that you almost forget that you're actually sitting through a 3 hour long session! All in all, I would definitely recommend this course by Veritas - and try to get into Ravi's session!

Hi Ishanie,

Do you mind if I ask how your score improved? I am thinking about signing up with Ravi this fall. I have taken several practice tests and have been studying on my own for a serious 4 months. I have hit a plateau around 650, I know I can come close to that 700.

I'm wondering if this is the best method, of it private tutoring is a better option.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Before I took this class I was struggling to find a solid approach to best attack the GMAT. Part of my problem was finding the right materials. I wont say that the other materials I bought were a waste, but I did not use them much after I started using the Veritas study materials.

Materials I bought were Kaplan (just a book), Princeton (just a book), Official GMAT (will actually use these questions for practice), and the entire Manhattan Series (only used sentence correction because I am terrible at that but if you want something really basic to start out with and get your feet wet I would get both the manhattan foundation books, even though all of this was covered in Veritas skillbuilders).

Veritas Prep breaks the class into 3 sections.
Skillbuilders - teach you the essential skills for the GMAT
Class - Teaches you specific strategies
Problems - Lets you practice both of them

The skillbuilders were videos and made it 1000x easier for me to stay focus and actually enjoy learning the skills. The actual class was great because my instructor Ravi made it enjoyable to learn strategies and them apply them and kept me on track. The were so many practice problems and I feel I will have enough practice by the time I sit for my test (gave myself a month for extra help after the class).

Overall this class was a blast and kept me on track and taught me enough to succeed on this exam! I would really recommend Veritas Prep as your study course and esp take it with Ravi if his time slots match up well with yours. It is a very fast paced course so prepare to give it your all!

Enrolling in the live online course instructed by Chris Kane was the BEST decision ever made. Veritas was absolutely fantastic and the biggest mistake I made was wasting 2 months trying to self-study which landed me at 560 in my first practice test. There are so many things I love about Veritas but the main reasons are:

1. Chris Kane is the best teacher I've ever come across. He was engaging, knowledgeable and helped me truly understand what the GMAT is designed to assess - higher order thinking. Learning how and why the GMAT is a completely different ball game is absolutely critical to scoring well. The study materials (lesson books, homework and practice tests) really helped me understand the concepts and think like the test maker. I reviewed the lesson books many times after the course as I prepared for the exam.

2. The online format far exceeded my expectations with its online chat panel. Another instructor is online to help out with queries if Chris doesn't have time to answer them all. Surprisingly, there was much more participation than a normal classroom and I learned as much from the other students as I did from Chris. The flexibility was another huge plus- being able to watch it from home or watch a recorded version if I miss the class was super helpful as I have a demanding job and a 15 mth old at home.

3. Veritas is the complete package. I used the "Homework Help" service frequently, especially with official GMAT questions because there is often an easier solution that official guides don't publish. Instructors (Karishma and Valerie Browning were fantastic) responded to my queries within 24-48 hrs and were great at explaining complex questions in layman's terms. Chris Kane also provided a lot of guidance on study strategies and general queries.

Overall, Veritas far exceeded my expectations and what I love most is that the instructors are genuinely interested in the students' progress and experience. I received a number of follow-up emails during the course to see how I was tracking. Their constant encouragement and guidance really helped me stay focused and motivated to reach my target score of 700.

Ravi made understanding the GMAT EASY! I've taken several courses before through several different companies and Ravi was the only instructor to get me over the hump. He is passionate about his students and their success and it's evident in every single class. Not only does he make the material easy to comprehend, he also makes it so that you understand what you're doing wrong and what you're doing right - both of which are equally important. If you have the chance, take a course with Ravi. He will help you get the score that you want! You won't regret it!
