Mark is extremely helpful in helping me studying the GMAT. He is patient in guiding me how to solve each question. I started having full course, then later sign up for his private tutoring along the side. I would recommend him to my friends!

Since I am not a native English speaker, I have no problem studying math on my own, however, Verbal section is my weak part. Mark and I spend most of our time working on verbal, and improved it from 17 to 34. Comparing other course I have taken, his private tutor session is the best part of studying month. In a process of choosing among most prominent GMAT courses back in August 2011 I made a comparative analysis of offers, quality and references from those who’d already attended these courses. No doubt the most beneficial course to me was the September-October 2011 Full Course in Houston, Texas.

In terms of course organization it granted maximum time of study for reasonable price, abundance of online tests and amazing books with unique and distinguished approach. But whom I value the most is my professor, Mark Alan Robinson. His tutoring style was so easy-going and personal, that the audience was deeply involved into complicated and for some students unfamiliar material. Maintaining a firsthand contact with every student, Mark didn’t hesitate to stay after the lesson and to give additional explanations to those who didn't feel confident in comprehending the material. As a devoted husband and father he came up with great tips, tricks and examples illustrated by children environment and that made it so easy to keep in mind.

Another important outcome was manager’s mindset he gave us: fast, savvy and intuitive, avoiding overthinking and straightforward calculations. Overall his know-how was invaluable to me to successfully pass my test and get the scores that let me apply in top-notch schools. Thanks, Mark and Veritas, for your efforts and keep going the same way!

I took the Veritas May-June 2012 Full Course in Houston, Texas based on reviews I read online. I am pleased to say that the course far outpaced my expectations.

Not only did our instructor, Mark Alan Robinson, cover the course material (which was very well put together) on a weekly basis, he added his years of teaching experience to make the subject matter enjoyable and practical. Mark was also very approachable on a one on one basis both for GMAT and career advice. It turns out that Mark works in the same industry I've been working hard to get into.

I was attending September-October 2011 Full Course in Houston, Texas taught by Mark Alan Robinson. He is a great teacher which helped me a lot in preparation for the GMAT! In a very easy fun and friendly way he explained all the aspects of the test and even taught us some tricks about how solving GMAT problems easy and fast. I would definitely recommend these courses and this professor to anyone who wants to improve his/her knowledge and skills before the test!

P.S. International students should not wait for English Language classes there, it’s just a preparation for the GMAT. So if you are not sure about your language, improve it first!

In class, I learned to apply the different strategies to answer the multiple types of questions tested. While the Veritas strategies are essential to being successful on the GMAT, a key benefit of learning the material was the instructor. Our instructor was engaging and knowledgeable about the material. For every example problem we worked on, she would give us several ways to figure out the problem. Leaving us to choose which method was easier for us. Furthermore at the beginning of each class she would give us a brief overview of the key principles of the day’s lessons, very helpful if you have been out of school for a few years.

At the end of the course, I felt more prepared to take the GMAT. However I still needed to practice the strategies they taught us in class. I practiced using the Veritas website, where I had access to practice tests, practice questions, and On Demand lessons.

The class is more of an introduction to the methodical way to approach and solve each question. I needed additional practice to feel confident and comfortable in using the strategies successfully.

Mark Robinson's approach to the GMAT is unique.

The quality of the curriculum was great although there were a few errors on the books that were provided to us for the course. The location where our class took place was very conveniently located for everyone in my opinion. I am still studying for the test, but so far there has been a huge improvement in my score on the verbal and on the quantitative part after taking the class with Mark.

The instructor was very helpful and demonstrated us a different way to solve problems. Doing a math problem using zero brain power is something i never thought could be possible. By far Mark Robinson is one of the best instructors I have ever had.

When I decided to take a GMAT prep course I was very confused at which one would be best. I decided to take the Veritas Prep course after reading great reviews and newspaper articles on the program. I am very happy to say that I believe I made the right choice.

The program was great. Books were thorough and well laid out. The skills and strategies were easy to learn. Grammar is especially difficult for me, but the books were great and I improved greatly on that alone.

The instructor was fabulous. Always upbeat, positive and (the biggest thing) made the class not boring. Great course, I would highly recommend it.

I took the Veritas GMAT Prep course in January 2013. The instructor, Bobby, was great. He was really motivational which was key since the material is a bit dry (ie: high school math)! But he actually made it fun and he managed to keep energy level up in class and explained the material thoroughly. His anecdotes of MBA life were value-added and put the GMAT into perspective.

The material itself was really comprehensive. Tons of practice questions supplemented by online practice exams. The skillbuilder concept is also a great idea as it refreshes on the basics. I would recommend this class if you are planning to write the GMAT.

I just completed the Veritas course taught by Bobby Umar in Toronto. I had high expectations going in, given Veritas’ reputation, but Bobby was above and beyond what I expected. Not only is his knowledge of the GMAT material and strategies extensive…he is passionate, inspiring, highly entertaining, and provides tips and value beyond the course material. Further, he is deeply invested in all of his students and their success and is an incredible resource. Highly recommend his course!

Overall Veritas has a really great methodology that is really aimed at getting a high score...and the new materials are really a cut above the rest.

Upon signing up for the course, I was impressed by immediate access to Veritas' online resources. Throughout the course, the easy to use and thorough selection of practice tests and library of class recordings proved immensely helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely heavy fedex that arrived containing the course materials.

Bobby was a fantastic instructor who struck the perfect balance of knowledge, humour, and most outstandingly - motivation. He was thorough with the lessons and quick to answer questions - whether quant or verbal. His energy and humour were critical to making the class a success, after all, this was an evening class and our group was coming from long days at the office. Bobby kept our attention and kept things moving.

Throughout the course Bobby was emphatic about ensuring we keep up with materials, create and recreate our study plans, and ultimately write the test. In this regard I believe he really went above the call of duty. I believe that I may not have written the test so soon after the course if it was not for Bobby's motivational words.

I do think it's important to point out that for one of the classes, where Bobby fell ill, we had a replacement instructor. He wasn't bad, but I definitely felt the difference in energy and proficiency between him and our regular instructor. I'd suggest sitting in on the first class before confirming the course if you want to ensure you get a great instructor.

Other details you might like to know:
- The course took place in an office in the downtown core - there was plenty of space and it was far nicer than I expected.
- Our group formed study groups outside the course and became friends, we still get together over 6 months later.
- The veritas materials are fantastic, and you can call their hotline anytime to discuss problems and get questions answered

All in all, this was worth the investment for me. It's not a trivial amount of money, but I highly recommend spending the extra dough to cover all your bases.
