I like that the unique format of live online meant that I did not have to worry about the feeling of looking stupid when getting something wrong. Also the comfort of taking the course from home made this an easy choice. I think I actually participated more than had I taken a course in person, which overall means that I got more out of this course. I scored a 740 on my first and only GMAT thanks to the course and was able to confidently complete each section well under the time given. I would highly recommend this course to any of my friends interested in taking the test.

The Good:
This course is designed for those GMAT takers ready to take their 600 scores and reach new levels! What I enjoyed about the course is that Ravi got to know each of the students. Even though it was an online class, he and Megan took the time to remember key details about each one of the students and kept up with us on our weak areas. This course keeps you on pace and provides a good structure to ensure you study when you have to and time off when you need it. Ravi doesn't fluff things up. He is to the point and isn't there to waste time, but, at the same time does not come off as rude or uncaring.

The Not So Good:
It's online. You have to attend the class if you are not disciplined to watch the video afterward. I wish I had known what level I should've been prior to attending the course. The practice tests are also good but lack in the analysis I thought I would get.

The Bottom Line:

If you are looking to improve your score, by any level, take this course. They have an abundance of online resources. I already took my test but still access the site to continue my studies.

Make sure you get Ravi!

I have struggled with the Verbal section of the GMAT for a while now, but Ravi has helped me understand how to tackle those problems in a structured way. My scores on the Quant section also improved because Ravi showed us how to save time by avoiding computation and dumbing things down.

Ravi is just an amazing instructor who knows how to teach the class to help you get to the next level. He is very straightforward and honest which are qualities that I was looking for in a instructor. I would recommend anyone to take the class with Ravi if you really want to see an improvement on your scores.

Ravi knows the GMAT like the back of his hand. If you are serious about doing well this is the guy that will push you to do better while building up your confidence. Great facilitator of class discussion (even with an online class) and a superb instructor who truly enjoys what he does.

Ravi was always willing to help out via the private chat and Veritas has truly mastered a system that will help you get the score you want, if you put in the effort. If you do the required work and give yourself ample time to study, you will succeed in conquering the GMAT exam.

Can't say enough great things about this class and strongly recommend it to all who want to be among the top performers.

Will update my review after I get my official score but I feel much more confident in my ability to think like the testmaker and score 700+

I took the GMAT in January and didn't really care for my score (690, 40Q, 44V). I gave myself one month to study and pull it up and also decided to get some help. I chose Veritas Prep because they just seem like decent people who are in business to help folks like me. The best thing about VP GMAT Prep on demand is the practice tests. The feel was incredibly realistic, and the scoring was perfectly on point. The video lessons and skill builders are good tools if you need classroom learning, but I liked to jump in and just work problems like mad. While working hundreds of problems in the question bank and doing all of the prescribed exercises, I made time (roughly) once a week to sit through a full-length practice test.

One month, four practice tests, and literally hundreds of problems later I pulled my score up by 80 points and went from the waitlist to weighing scholarship offers... thanks VP!!!

... 770, 50Q, 44V

I just completed an online Veritas prep course with Chris Kane as my instructor. Going in I wasn't too sure how this would turn out. At the time I needed an online format because of the flexibility an online forum offers, and looking back I'm so glad I did.

The class was extremely engaging. Chris did a great job of making this course entertaining and fun. I know to some that may seem cheesy, but he did. When someone is passionate about what they are doing you feed off of that passion and enthusiasm. It also helped that I was fortunate to be in an online class that was heavily interactive and comical at times. I also loved that in addition to the array of material and resources provided, there was also a recording of the class just in case you missed a class or simply wanted to re watch.

I hope this helps someone who is truly considering the online course but is on the fence. I personally would recommend this to my friends. The class was flexible, which was the initial selling point and my instructor was extremely personable and passionate which kept me engaged even after having a busy day at work.

If you want a sure way to see actual results then take Chris Kane's live online course. Since this was my first online course, I was a little concerned that it would feel like watching a video. That was not the case at all. Chris made it feel like we were all in the same room by somehow incorporating all the participants. Chris is the coauthor of the Veritas curriculum and it felt like there was nothing he couldn't answer. The methods he teaches are exactly what you need to crush the GMAT. I planned on taking it twice, but ended up with a 710 on the first try. That easily would have been a 750 (where I was practice testing) had it not been for my major freeze on the quant. At least I know that I can jump back on my Veritas student account and study for a better score if need be.

Taught by: John Chismody

This was an excellent course taught by an excellent instructor. John Chismody was an extremely knowledgeable and effective teacher. Not only could he teach the material, he knew about the MBA application process and what certain schools were looking for. He spent additional time after class ended talking to us about our prospective schools and what we needed to do to get in.

The course is a great start but if you want to raise your score from 600 to 700 you will need to buckle down and put in the raw effort. This course is great for someone who needs to quickly brush up on all necessary skills before focusing their efforts on their weak points.

I took the 6 week online Veritas course in Aug- Sept 2014. It was intense- in addition to the 6 hours of classes every week, I typically spent 5-6 preparing for the class and doing HW. I say this not to scare you, but to set expectations. This time was definitely well-spent as I ended up with a 99 percentile score of 760 (Q50, V44). The Veritas books, problem sets and practice tests you get with this course are solid and comprehensive. I only took the free GMATPrep tests, outside of the Veritas material.

Ravi did a great job shuffling the class order, making it easier for students to follow along. I was really impressed by how accessible Ravi and Chris were during and after class. When I bombed one of the practice tests 2 weeks before my GMAT, Ravi and Chris were both swift and effective in calming me down and helping me focus on my preparations.

Anthony Ritz was a fantastic instructor. Somehow he managed to hold my attention through six all-day courses, relaying tons of strategies and techniques for answering GMAT questions. He truly cares about every student in his classes and is endlessly patient. I actually started to look forward to classes after one or two sessions. He was also non-judgmental, which was important to me, since my practice test score was pretty low - particularly in the quantitative section. Instead of dismissing my needs, he seemed to be more patient and spend more time on quantitative material. I could not have asked for a better instructor.

Results: I improved my score by 70 points and received perfect scores on the verbal and essay portions of the GMAT.
