I signed up for Veritas looking for a new approach to the GMAT and an insightful instructor. It was immediately apparent that Ethan has the ability to distill complex GMAT content into a simple, approachable form. The result of which is walking away from Ethan's course with a comprehensible strategy and approach that is also adaptive to independent study thereafter. Ethan pushes his students to find various ways to solve each problem and more importantly to have an awareness of pitfalls and traps in each problem. Beyond that, I liked that Ethan uses relatable content like contemporary analogies and movie references to make "dull" content more enjoyable - which also maximizes the course setting. Through Ethan, I learned that preparation is not a function of quantity but quality. I would highly recommend Veritas Prep and especially Ethan as the instructor to unlock your GMAT experience.

I took the course in late fall. It was 7-10:15 so if you take it prepare for late nights and much thinking. The course is very in depth and to many the material will be new. Many good skills come from this. Anthony Ritz is very funny and engaging.
Six weeks was a lot of time and tough to do. I took the test two weeks after the course ended and increased my GMAT score by 170 points since the last time i took the test in May. Had it not been for two rouge weekends i could have don better. I suggest starting with the veritas practice tests for the first three takes and then moving on to the official gmat practice tests for the last three of four. Thanks!

I started the GMAT process by studying on my own with the official guide and a Kaplan book doing practice problems and briefly going over some of the strategy and advice they had to offer. I also used a little bit of magoosh. With this I got a 640, but I knew my studying wasn't effective and I wasn't approaching the test with any strategy. I really needed to shore up on verbal in particular. I took the veritas prep live online class to help provide me with a more structured and systematic approach to the test. All of the study materials provided are great and help you with all the basic content needed. The class then builds on the content and skills you learn with the materials to really help you approach the test with the necessary strategies. Ethan was a fantastic teacher who never made a minute of the class boring. You could really tell how much he cared about his students and how much time and effort he put into the process. The live online class is great technology that allows you to get all of the necessary teaching needed to do well on the test from the comfort of your own home! I would absolutely recommend Ethan to everyone, and I thought the live online platform at veritas is as good as anything out there.

Ethan was an amazing teacher and made learning the GMAT curriculum so much easier! I would strongly recommend Ethan (and Chris!) for taking a GMAT prep course from Veritas. He has supplemental information to Veritas and was an SAT tutor prior to Veritas so he has a tremendous amount of experience under his belt. Every class I would look forward to his GMAT jokes and funny sayings that would help the class remember specific sections.

The level service that Veritas offers is outstanding. Every time I have been with customer service or emailing Ethan I always got a prompt response.

Thank you Veritas for making my experience amazing!

Veritas is a wonderful tool to have when looking into grad school. I had originally taken a practice test and received a 500. I couldn't believe how low my score was and how far I had to go to get into any decent school.

I decided that the ROI of going to a top school was well worth the effort and price tag. I studied all 12 GMAT books over the course of a few months. I would say I spent about 120 hours on studying, private tutoring, and practice tests during that time period.

Rich was a wonderful help to me. I did 24 hours of tutoring with him via Skype and I can't believe how much it helped. I struggled with the entire verbal section and he talked me through strategy and reasoning why every answer was wrong and why the correct answer was right.

I ended up scoring a 41 on verbal, which is in the 94th percentile! I couldn't believe my improvement. I have not only learned how to ace the GMAT, but I've learned skills that will translate into the rest of my life.

Thank you Rich and Veritas for the amazing experience. I couldn't have done it without you.

I took the course at the Washington Hilton with Anthony Ritz.

The books alone seem to be a bit overwhelming, but Anthony really made the difference in understanding the core concepts, what I needed to focus on, and the logic of taking the GMAT. A lot of time was put in outside of class (as expected), but the course helped keep me focused and on track.

Anthony as an instructor was great. He not only knew what he was talking about, but he could explain the concepts in a way that most of the class understood. He also did his best to make the class enjoyable.

I highly Recommend.

Anthony Ritz is an amazing GMAT professor. He is able to effectively communicate the core competencies and strategies required to handle all problem styles. More importantly, he made studying for the GMAT and classroom discussion actually fun. Even though my greatest hurdle in preparing for the GMAT was mental (i.e. dealing with stress), he never looked down on me or frowned upon my performance. I scheduled roughly 6-8 hours of outside tutoring time with Anthony to improve my verbal score, particularly focusing on sentence correction. Veritas Private tutoring is fairly expensive, so Anthony made sure every minute of private tutoring was used to the student’s benefit. Studying for the GMAT is stressful, but I am forever thankful that Anthony was there for even when I wanted to give up on myself. For these reasons and many more, I highly recommend anyone seriously interested in excelling on the GMAT to sign up for Anthony’s class. I was able to retake the course without any qualms.

I have to say that my performance on the exam has everything to do with having Brandon as my tutor. He was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly, caring. I have never had a tutor that was so cognizant of my weaknesses and study habits. Brandon was able to give me great tips, strategy, and techniques that worked well with my personal study habits.

Brandon made himself available with my tight schedule and was always extremely positive and encouraging throughout the whole process. Before working with Brandon, my verbal score was consistently low. Brandon was able to quickly identify my main area of weakness and helped me work on it efficiently. Although my quant section was fairly strong, Brandon got my quant score to be at a really competitive level.

I usually don’t write reviews—I never had an experience worth writing about until now. However, Brandon Pierpont was truly the the key to my success. I really recommend getting private tutoring with Brandon--he's really worth it!

The Veritas Prep On-Demand course was an indispensable resource for my GMAT preparation. My baseline score was a 650, with a breakdown around Q42 V37. I then set my goal inside of the course at 720, as that is around the score average for the programs I am trying to get in to. Low and behold, my official GMAT score was a 720, with a breakdown of Q48, V41, AWA 6.0, IR 6! Admittedly, I did not do the IR lesson, otherwise I probably would have scored higher on that section.

What I really appreciated about the On-Demand Course was that it taught all of the basics, which are covered in the Skillbuilder sections, then built strategy on top of those skills. I didn't have to worry if there was some skill that I was missing because all of the skills that are needed to do well on the test are covered.

The Lesson sections provide a strategy for each problem type and also detail the ways that the test makers try to "trick" you (the test makers more try to misdirect you). These aspects are crucial to understand in order to maximize your chances at achieving a top score.

Another aspect about the course that I enjoyed are the instructors. Lissette and Brian are fantastic instructors and they make the lessons enjoyable. Brian's stand-up comedy background is definitely noticeable, as he is hilarious.

I am more than happy with my purchase. If I had to do it all over again, I would get the On-Demand course without hesitation.

Thanks, Veritas Prep!

Ethan was a great teacher. He kept our class engaged by incentivizing us to answer and ask questions with his 'points' system, which was silly but fun. He also added much needed humor to what can easily be considered dry topics. Ethan had a great technique to teaching Veritas' strategy for data sufficiency. His techniques changed an initial weakness into a strength. Before I took the Veritas class I took a pretest and scored a 560. The program helped me add 160 points to my official test score after finishing the program.

Overall I thought the pacing of the program was appropriate - two chapters a week kept me busy but was not overwhelming. Veritas has plenty of resources after the program is over to take practice quizzes and tests. I found the Veritas practice exams a bit harder than the actual GMAT.
