Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m a former Admissions Director at Columbia Business School. There, I managed the interview program, sat on the final committee, scholarship committee, and dual degree committee. Finally, I served as a waitlist manager. I have direct experience understanding what an admissions committee is really looking for.

  • Unlike a lot of firms, I publish my track record because data is (and should be!) immensely indicative of a consultant’s track record and future success.

  • Then we should chat! I often find that my clients are initially short-selling their achievements, or just need coaching on how to mitigate, explain, or position themselves. Most of my clients have scores below a 3.5 GPA, 720 GMAT, or 315 GRE.

  • You should begin thinking about application prep when you have the time & mental space. For some, that means beginning 1+ years in advance. For others, an MBA application is a last-minute endeavor. Because I only work with a small group of clients, I can meet you where you are.

Round 1 or Round 2 is almost always the best time to apply. Round 3 is rarely successful for most applicants.

  • Unlike some firms, you don’t have to apply to work with me! I ask that you send your resume to me in advance of our call, so I can come prepared to ask questions. I’ll drive the call, beginning by telling you a bit more about myself and how I work. We’ll transition to who you are, what your goals are, and what your superpowers are. We’ll wrap the call after I give some helpful advice and cover whether I can be helpful and how I see myself plugging into your journey.
