It was ranked #7 for <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-business-schools\/marketing-rankings\"><em>marketing<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/bschools\/rankings\/full_time_mba_profiles\/chicago.html\"><strong>Chicago Booth Class of 2013 Profile<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4169 people applied to Chicago Booth in 2011; 22% were accepted and 63% enrolled. 7% of applicants were reapplicants.<\/p>\n<p>The Booth class of 2013 has an average 4.83 years of work experience and an average GMAT score of 719. The mean age at the time of entering Booth was 28 years. In terms of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/#simple2\">undergraduate majors,<\/a> 20% of these students majored in Engineering; 31% in Finance\/Business Administration; 21% in Economics; and 26% in Liberal Arts and all other majors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booth Academics Related to Marketing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Booth offers a highly flexible, analytic curriculum that focuses heavily on identifying problems and implementing creative solutions. Experiential learning and classroom dialogue are also important elements of the Booth experience.<\/p>\n<p>Students are required to take one leadership course (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/lead\/\">LEAD<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/curriculum\/\">three foundation courses<\/a> (including marketing course Statistical Insight into Marketing, Consulting &amp; Entrepreneurship), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/curriculum\/\">six courses from the Functions, Management, and Business Environment course listing<\/a> (including the following marketing options: Marketing Strategy, Consumer Behavior, Quantitative Marketing Research Methods, Data-Driven Marketing, Marketing Research, Developing New Products and Services, Pricing Strategies, and Advance Marketing Strategy), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/curriculum\/#concentrations\">eleven elective courses<\/a>. Marketing students would choose their electives from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/curriculum\/mrktg-mngm.aspx\">Marketing Management concentration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/macb\/chicago-approach\/\">You can read up on Booth\u2019s unique approach to quantitative marketing here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Students must also take a leadership course <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/lead\/\">Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago Booth also offers a wide selection of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/programs\/full-time\/academics\/labs.aspx\">labs<\/a>.\u201d These hands-on courses allow students an opportunity to take part in real-world business challenges. The most relevant labs for those interested in marketing would be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobooth.edu\/fulltime\/academics\/experiential\/lab_courses.aspx\">New Venture and Small Enterprise Lab<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagocleantech.com\/\">Clean Tech Lab<\/a>.
