{"id":15227,"date":"2012-10-31T16:03:13","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T23:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/?p=15227"},"modified":"2012-10-31T16:03:14","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T23:03:14","slug":"more-2012-economist-mba-rankings-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/more-2012-economist-mba-rankings-data\/","title":{"rendered":"More 2012 Economist MBA Rankings Data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Choosing-from-Multiple-Acceptances.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-15230\" title=\"direction \" src=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Choosing-from-Multiple-Acceptances-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"direction \" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>We already analyzed <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.accepted.com\/2012\/10\/11\/2012-economist-global-b-school-ranking\/\"><em>The Economist<\/em>\u2019s rankings of the top 25 global MBA programs<\/a>; now we\u2019re going to provide insights from the <em>Poets &amp; Quants<\/em> article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/poetsandquants.com\/2012\/10\/05\/winners-losers-in-the-economist-mba-ranking\/\">The Economist\u2019s Winners &amp; Losers<\/a>.\u201d In short, volatility is the name of the game.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>23 of the 100 top global MBA programs saw double-digit changes (jumps or falls) this year.<\/li>\n<li>The awards for the biggest falls go to University College Dublin\u2019s Smurfit School and Vlerick Leuven, both of which dropped 25 places.<\/li>\n<li>In the U.S., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accepted.com\/mba\/USCMarshall.aspx\">USC Marshall<\/a> takes the loser\u2019s cake with a 21-spot drop from 22<sup>nd<\/sup> to 43<sup>rd<\/sup> place. Penn State\u2019s Smeal School of Business dropped 18 places from 50<sup>th<\/sup> to 68<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<li>The Indian Institute of Management-Ahmadehad wins points for the biggest jump, going from 28<sup>th<\/sup> place in 2011 to 56<sup>th<\/sup> place this year (22 places).
