Dean Jr.<\/strong>, a longtime faculty member and currently dean of<strong> Kenan-Flagler Business School<\/strong>, has been appointed as the next executive vice chancellor and provost for UNC-Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Chancellor <strong>Holden Thorp<\/strong> and Chancellor-Elect <strong>Carol Folt<\/strong> announced Dean\u2019s appointment, effective July 1, in an email to the campus community on May 23.<\/p>\n<p>Dean was appointed as Kenan-Flagler\u2019s dean in 2008.
