{"id":21216,"date":"2013-10-24T05:36:47","date_gmt":"2013-10-24T12:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/?p=21216"},"modified":"2013-10-22T20:36:56","modified_gmt":"2013-10-23T03:36:56","slug":"stanford-mba-class-of-2015-largest-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/stanford-mba-class-of-2015-largest-ever\/","title":{"rendered":"Stanford MBA Class of 2015 Largest Ever"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Stanford Graduate School of Business<\/strong> recently posted details of the <a title=\"Stanford GSB MBA class of 2015\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stanford.edu\/group\/mba\/blog\/2013\/10\/class_of_2015_profile.html\" target=\"_blank\">MBA Class of 2015<\/a> profile, noting that at 406 students, this is the largest class in the history of the GSB.<\/p>\n<p>While quick to point out that Stanford's relatively small class size naturally includes percentage shifts here and there each year, the school also reports a greater diversity of experience and background this year as a result of the larger class size.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the most notable shifts within the Class of 2015, as shared by <strong>Victoria Hendel De La O<\/strong> in admissions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The class comprises a record number of international and U.S. schools.<\/li>\n<li>Representation of both women and U.S. minorities in the class increased.<\/li>\n<li>As always, there was fluctuation in industry representation, with increases in biotech, consulting, and consumer-products sectors.<\/li>\n<li>The number of humanities and sciences majors in the class jumped, while a handful fewer students studied business or engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Average TOEFL and GMAT scores crept up slightly. The score ranges, however, stayed consistent.<\/li>\n<li>Average years of pre-MBA work experience fell slightly from last year's decade-long high.
