The school also hosts a traditional Thanksgiving dinner each year.<\/p>\n<p>The school was almost named for Albert Einstein. Instead, it was named for Zionist Israel Goldstein, who was president of the Einstein Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The school was founded on passion and spirit, which was memorialized in 1969 when students took over Ford Hall in protest. Students protested for more minority support and passed out buttons and stickers, and they renamed the school \"Malcolm X University\" for the short time.<\/p>\n<p>Off-campus, students can visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newbury-st.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Newbury Street<\/a> and find dozens of shops and restaurants. Brandeis University is in Celtic territory, so students can cheer on the Celtics at the local stadium. The Boston Revolution birthplace is in North Boston, which is close to the University. Students can visit museums and walk the North End to view old American Revolution history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus Life<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The campus has an old American history style for building architecture. The campus has several quiet spots, ponds and sitting areas for students to focus on studies away from dorms and social areas.<\/p>\n<p>Waltham, Massachusetts has colder summers and even colder winters. The department's workshops, practice interviews, and resume help center offer a way for students to get ready for job opportunities and the future.
