\u2018Twas the night before\u00a0GMAT<\/a>, when all through the house
\nNot a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
\nThe knowledge was learned by the student with care,
\nIn hopes that their\u00a0Score<\/a>\u00a0soon would be there.<\/p>\n

The test-takers were nestled all snug in their beds,
\nWhile visions of radicals danced in their heads.
\nWith she in her \u2018kerchief, and he in his cap,
\nThey\u2019d just settled down for a fitful night\u2019s nap.<\/p>\n

When up in their heads arose such a clatter,<\/p>\n

They sprang from their beds and thought, \u201cWhat is the matter?\u201d<\/p>\n

Away to the bathroom they flew like a flash,
\nWill they tear open their stomachs and throw up their mash?<\/p>\n

The nerves in the tummies of the new-learned folks
\nGave the luster of\u00a0Test Day<\/a>, which freaked them most.
\nWhen what to their wondering minds should appear?
\nBut confidence and pride in all they\u2019ve prepared.<\/p>\n

With a little reminder, so true and so quick,
\nThey knew in a moment they\u2019d win with their wit.
\nMore rapid than eagles the problems they came,
\nAnd they whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!<\/p>\n

\"Now Verbs! Now, Pronouns! Now, Idioms and Style!
\nOn, Triangles! On, Cubes! I\u2019m armed with a smile!
\nTo the top of the pack! To the top of the curve!
\nTo 800 we go, with nary a swerve!\"<\/p>\n

With vigor and spirit, the merry would fly,
\nWhen met with an obstacle, they mount to the sky.
\nSo off to the center, the Testers they flew,
\nWith their heads full of formulas and patterns they knew.<\/p>\n

And then, in a twinkling, they arrived on the roof
\nWith the prancing and pawing of each little boot.
\nAs they drew in a breath, and were turning around,
\nThey couldn\u2019t help but wonder why they weren\u2019t on the ground?<\/p>\n

They were dressed all in layers, from their head to their foot,
\n\u2018Cause if cold or if hot, the room never stays put.
\nA bundle of i.d.\u2019s they had flung in their pack,
\nSince security\u2019s run by a TSA quack.<\/p>\n

Their eyes \u2013 how they twinkled! Their dimples \u2013 how merry!
\nThey knew in an instant their apps would be cherry!
\nWith droll little mouths drawn up in tight a bows,
\nThey took to the task and got on with the show.<\/p>\n

The stump of a pen held tight in their hands,
\nOn dry erase boards, they hashed essay plans.
\nWith the thinking all done, they wrote out their prose,<\/p>\n

Assumptions attacked with examples for flow.<\/p>\n

The Quant questions were fun and right answers did come,<\/p>\n

And they laughed when they saw the traps set for the dumb!
\nWith the wink of an eye and a clickitty-click,
\nSoon they\u2019d finished the math then took a break, nice and quick.<\/p>\n

They tore through the Verbal, dreaming of perks,<\/p>\n

They spoke not a word while admiring their work.
\nWith a \u201cGive me my score!\u201d and a whistle \u201cWoot-woo!\u201d
\nThey stared at the screen\u2026 \u201cDreams really do come true!\u201d<\/p>\n

They sprang to their sleighs, their engines a roar,<\/p>\n

Away they all flew, for the test was no more.
\nThen we heard them exclaim, as they drove out of sight,
