The Oxford Said Full-Time MBA<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n Oxford University is renowned as one of the top universities for academia in the UK. Its researchers have won over 45 Nobel prizes and, since 1996, the Said Business School has been bringing the best of Oxford\u2019s academic minds from five-start departments such as economics, psychology, politics, law, and international relations to build on the best of business management. As the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in the English-speaking world, Oxford has produced leaders from former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web and King Abdullah II, current ruler of Jordan. This is the environment that Said\u2019s MBA students immerse themselves in as they embark on an intensive one-year full-time MBA program.<\/p>\n Although the Said MBA is relatively new, it has climbed the ranks to #3 in the UK and #24 globally, according to The Financial Times <\/i>2013 Global MBA rankings. The one-year program is divided into three main terms: the Michaelmas Term (October through December), the Hilary Term (January through March), and the Trinity Term (April through June). Throughout the three terms, students undertake a total of eight core courses, seven elective courses, and an entrepreneurial project in the second term. During the entrepreneurial project, students are challenged to complete a business plan and present it to a panel of venture capitalists at the end of the term. Finally, students have the choice to take part in summer options as well, which include a strategic consulting project (where many students use their business plan to propel into strategic consulting), an individual academic thesis, an internship, or two summer electives.<\/p>\n The student population at Said is incredibly diverse with over 90% of the student body being of international origin. Each student at Said speaks an average of three languages, and several Rhodes Scholars have received their MBA from Said as well. Nearly one-third of the student population is married, meaning that Said is not only an academic school, but works to create a family-oriented environment as well.
