TopMBA\u2019s new 2014\/2015 global report ranks business programs according to geographic location based on surveys completed by 5,669 actively-hiring MBA employers and 7,187 academics in the field of business and management. (See more about the methodology here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Top 20 B-Schools in North America<\/a><\/p>\n

Some highlights:<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>The top 10 remained virtually the same this year as last, with two rather large exceptions: Ross<\/a> and Stern<\/a> entered the top 10 scene from 12th<\/sup> place to 8th<\/sup> place for Ross and 12th<\/sup> place to 10th<\/sup> place for Stern. Losing top 10 stature this year were Duke Fuqua <\/a>which fell from 10th<\/sup> to 13th<\/sup> place and Toronto Rotman<\/a> which fell from 8th<\/sup> to 14th.<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>There were three newcomers to the top 10 this year \u2013 NYU Stern (see above), Texas McCombs<\/a> (29th<\/sup> last year to 19th<\/sup> this year), and BU School of Management (24th<\/sup> to 20th<\/sup>). HEC Montreal fell from the top 20 (16th<\/sup> place last year to 22nd<\/sup> this year), as did York Schulich (13th<\/sup> to 28th<\/sup>) and Queen\u2019s School of Business (18th<\/sup> to 31st<\/sup>).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>Big jumpers further down in the rankings include USC Marshall<\/a> (42nd<\/sup> to 23rd<\/sup>), UC Irvine Merage (51st<\/sup> to 33rd<\/sup>), UC Davis (54th<\/sup> to 36th<\/sup>), Michigan State Broad (71st<\/sup> to 38th<\/sup>), UC San Diego Rady (61st<\/sup> to 40th<\/sup>), Ohio State Fisher (60th<\/sup> to 42nd<\/sup>), UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management (83rd<\/sup> to 45th<\/sup>), Washington Olin (83rd<\/sup> to 47th<\/sup>), and Minnesota Carlson (87th<\/sup> to 49th<\/sup>).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>Big droppers include UVA Darden (28th<\/sup> to 37th<\/sup>), University of Miami School of Business Administration (32nd<\/sup> to 77th<\/sup>), Rutgers Business School (67th<\/sup> to 82nd<\/sup>), and Vanderbilt Owen (37th<\/sup> to 86th<\/sup>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Top 20 B-Schools in Europe<\/a><\/p>\n

Some highlights:<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>HEC Paris<\/a> jumped from 10th<\/sup> place last year to 4th<\/sup> place this year and Cambridge Judge<\/a> jumped from 13th<\/sup> to 10th<\/sup> place; otherwise, the top 10 in Europe remain pretty much the same. Copenhagen fell from the top 10, from 9th<\/sup> place last year to 12th<\/sup> place this year.<\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>New to the top 20 this year are ESSEC (29th<\/sup> place to 16th<\/sup> place), Manchester Bossiness School (27th<\/sup> to 14th<\/sup> place), and European Business School (21st<\/sup> to 19th<\/sup>). Trinity MBA in Dublin fell from the top 20, from 12th<\/sup> place to 21st<\/sup><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/strong>UK programs dominate the 65 schools on the European list with 26 programs represented. This is followed by France (9), Spain (5), Switzerland (4), Germany (4), the Netherlands (4), Italy (3), Denmark (2), Ireland (2), Greece (2), Finland (1), Portugal (1), Turkey (1), and Belgium (1).<\/p>\n
