\"Check<\/a>I\u2019m certain everyone knows that before you apply to business schools, it\u2019s a good idea to read The Wall Street Journal<\/i>, the Financial Times<\/i>, the Economist <\/i>and Bloomberg-BusinessWeek<\/i> to familiarize yourself with the jargon and the stories you will be discussing while in school. \u00a0I also believe its a good idea to read about MBA programs and the strategies experts suggest before applying to said programs. \u00a0For the latest in Bschool gossip and the best admissions tips, subscribe to this blog<\/a> and keep an eye on Poets and Quants<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n

While I\u2019ve seen a lot of books out there on the MBA admissions process including our very own MBA Admissions for Smarties<\/i><\/a> by Linda Abraham and Judy Gruen, I think it\u2019s important before you apply to schools to find inspiration outside the narrow walls of \u201cMBA admissions.\u201d \u00a0I\u2019m hoping these books will get you thinking and tickle the left side of your brain when so many MBA applicants are right-brained thinkers.<\/p>\n
