(See more on this below under About Price.)<\/p>\n<p>Another consideration was the \u201cvalue added\u201d grade that takes into account how well students are expected to perform based on their academic and economic backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/best-colleges.time.com\/money\/ranking-methodology\" target=\"_blank\">You can read more about <em>Money\u2019s<\/em> methodology here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <em>Washington Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/grade-point\/wp\/2015\/07\/13\/money-magazines-new-college-rankings-finally-get-it-right-for-students\/\">article<\/a>, <em>Money\u2019s<\/em> list should be getting much more attention than it actually receives. The subject of ROI, the article explains, should be one of the biggest questions prospective students ask, and it\u2019s practically missing from other, better known rankings. The article states:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike <em>U.S. News<\/em>, which focuses on several measures that really shouldn\u2019t matter to students \u2013 percentage of alumni who donate, for example \u2013 <em>Money<\/em> magazine tries to answer the questions that prospective students should be asking on their college tours this summer: What is the graduation rate, net price (what\u2019s the real tuition they\u2019ll pay), how much do they and their parents have to borrow in loans, and will they learn any marketable skills that will help them get a job in order to pay back those loans?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"https:\/\/best-colleges.time.com\/money\/full-ranking#\/list\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to see the full table<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Price<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Money <\/em>provides a more accurate look at school price tags by multiplying the net one-year cost times the average number of years it takes a student to complete their studies. \u201cAn expensive college is fine,\u201d the <em>Washington Post<\/em> article states, \u201cbut not if it takes you eight years instead of four years to complete your degree.\u201d According to <em>Money<\/em>, it takes students on average 4.3 years to graduate college. Student loans and federal PLUS loans (no borrowing limit) are also taken into consideration.<\/p>\n<p>The last, and perhaps most important factor <em>Money <\/em>measures, is the \u201coutcomes\u201d category. How much will a graduate\u2019s post-degree job pay?
