From ranking which alumni boast the best median starting salary, to MBA programs enrolling more women, to an inside look at the HBS interview\u2014it\u2019s been another interesting week of business education news. Keep reading to find out what\u2019s on the landscape.<\/p>\n

Best business schools by starting salary<\/b><\/h4>\n

Earning your MBA isn\u2019t cheap\u2014tuition can run well over $60K per year. Add in fees and opportunity costs, and we\u2019re talking at least $100K for one year at a top-ranked business school. Of course, there are less expensive options, but attending the right business school could yield a terrific ROI. Consider this: According to Forbes, MBAs can expect a median starting salary of about $100K. By comparison, those who hold only BAs have a median starting salary of $45K. According to PayScale, as graduates from top-tier MBA programs progress in their careers, their median salary rises to $200K. Check out the full list to see which MBAs earn the most after graduation. Recruiting women<\/b><\/h4>\n

Some of the country\u2019s best business schools have been open about their efforts to attract female students, and many have been wildly successful. Take UC Berkeley Haas for example. While its Class of 2015 was just 29% women, that number rose to 43% with its 2016 graduating class. As one top business school admissions consultant put it, \u201cThe perception is that the schools are falling all over themselves to get females through the door.\u201d Some other stats to consider: There are more men than women enrolled as undergraduates, and the male to female ratio in both law school and medical school is near parity. Online MBA<\/b><\/h4>\n

Are you considering an online MBA because of its cost-effectiveness? Although earning a business degree remotely may be convenient, these programs aren\u2019t always cheap. Check out this list of costly online MBAs, where each credit may set you back as much as $1,800. On the flip side, online programs allow for flexibility and saving on other expenses. Inside the HBS interview<\/b><\/h4>\n

Ever wonder what the interview process for Harvard Business School is like? Luckily we have an insider\u2019s guide of what to expect. Familiarize yourself with these question, as they seem to be asked by many admissions officers during the HBS interview. Question topics include explaining why you chose to work at your current company, describing a time you helped someone at your job, talking about your greatest accomplishment, and discussing a time you failed.
