Download your free guide!\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-41021\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Understand ranking methodologies for the 5 major rankings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reports.accepted.com\/mba\/rankings-report\">Rankings<\/a> have always been a mixed blessing \u2013 they provide so much valuable information, but if you don't know how to analyze or use that data properly, then best case scenario, they become worthless, and worst case scenario, they become harmful. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GMAC has just released a new tool, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mba.com\/global\/plan-for-business-school\/choose-a-school\/evaluate-schools\/users-guide-to-mba-rankings?utm_campaign=Global_ALL_Rankings-Guide_01Jul2016\" target=\"_blank\"><i>User\u2019s Guide to Full-Time MBA Rankings<\/i><\/a><b>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that will help prospective graduate business students better understand ranking methodologies for the five major rankings (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloomberg Businessweek<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). The user-friendly, interactive tool compares the content of the five rankings, providing information on which rankings provide which features or priorities best. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\"Our research shows that individuals applying to graduate management education programs consider rankings an influential part of their decision-making process,\" said Sangeet Chowfla, President &amp; CEO of GMAC in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gmac.mwnewsroom.com\/press-releases\/graduate-management-admission-council-launches-use-1266788\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GMAC press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \"Though rankings exist to provide useful information to judge the quality of MBA programs, the existence of multiple rankings contributes to confusion among applicants. We created this resource to clarify the differences among the various rankings, as no one ranking methodology can speak to the individual needs and aspirations of every candidate considering a business degree.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Understanding the 14 Categories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">User's Guide to Full-Time MBA Rankings<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0looks at 14 standardized weighting categories, and examines how each of the methodologies assigns weight to these categories. One ranking may put more weight on ROI (like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forbes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), while another weights employer opinion more heavily (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloomberg Businessweek<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).
