Poets & Quants<\/span><\/i> has just released their <\/span>2017 ranking of Top 100 U.S. MBA Programs<\/span><\/a>, and the holder of the top spot may come as a surprise. For the first time ever, Wharton has overthrown Harvard Business school to take the top spot in the <\/span>Poets & Quants<\/span><\/i> composite rating. This is just the second time in eight years that HBS has not taken the number one slot. Wharton was able to displace HBS by rising a combined 21 places in all five of the most influential rankings that <\/span>Poets & Quants<\/span><\/i> uses in its annual ranking of the best full-time U.S. MBA programs. <\/span><\/p>\n

Poets & Quants <\/span><\/i>composite list combines the latest five most influential business school rankings, weighted by P&Q<\/em>\u2019s view of each school\u2019s credibility. The five are: <\/span>U.S. News & World Report<\/span><\/i><\/a> <\/i>(35%), <\/span>Forbes<\/a> (25%), The Financial Times<\/a> <\/span><\/i>(15%), <\/span>Businessweek<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u00a0(15%), and <\/span>The Economist<\/span><\/i><\/a> <\/i><\/i>(10%). This combining of rankings diminishes anomalies that frequently appear in a given year.<\/span><\/p>\n
