Below, we\u2019ll be examining their most popular degree, the full-time UCLA MBA, including information on the curriculum, the application process, and the average GMAT score for UCLA&#8217;s prestigious program.<\/p>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/magoosh-company-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/03\/02203122\/640px-UCLA_campus_from_the_south-600x339.jpg\" alt=\"UCLA campus-MBA UCLA-magoosh\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8086\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Photo by <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:UCLA_campus_from_the_south.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Downtowngal<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>UCLA Anderson MBA Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p>UCLA Anderson MBA students will begin their studies with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anderson.ucla.edu\/degrees\/mba-program\/curriculum\/customizable-schedule\" target=\"_blank\">nine-course core curriculum<\/a> based upon statistics, accounting, economics, marketing, finance, organizational behavior, and leadership classes.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the first year, students will begin taking elective courses, allowing for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anderson.ucla.edu\/degrees\/mba-program\/curriculum\/flexibility-and-specializations\" target=\"_blank\">career specializations<\/a> in areas like brand management, entertainment, entrepreneurship, health care management, real estate, sustainability leadership, and others.<\/p>\n<p>Second year students will also complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anderson.ucla.edu\/degrees\/mba-program\/curriculum\/amr\/bco\" target=\"_blank\">capstone project<\/a>, which focuses on applying MBA knowledge to the real world. While there are six capstone options available, there are two that are most common:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Applied Management Research (AMR):<\/b> Students partner with a top organization, and work towards solving strategic issues.<\/li>\n<li><b>Business Creation Option (BCO):<\/b> Students focused on entrepreneurship are given the opportunity to launch their own companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>UCLA MBA Application Process<\/h2>\n<p>The UCLA Anderson School <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anderson.ucla.edu\/degrees\/mba-program\/admissions\" target=\"_blank\">accepts applications in three rounds throughout the year<\/a>. Exact dates vary year to year, but the Round 1 deadline is typically in early October, Round 2 in early January, and Round 3 in mid-April.<\/p>\n<p>MBA UCLA applicants will be expected to fulfill the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit a full transcript from a 4-year Bachelor\u2019s program (3-year programs are acceptable in some instances)<\/li>\n<li>Submit a valid score report for the GMAT or GRE<\/li>\n<li>Submit a one-page resume detailing their work experience<\/li>\n<li>Submit two letters of recommendation (preferably from a manager or direct supervisor)<\/li>\n<li>Complete a 750 word (maximum) essay<\/li>\n<li>Schedule a ~30-minute interview (on-campus or via Skype)<\/li>\n<li>Submit TOEFL\/IELTS scores if English is their\u00a0second language (see <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.ucla.edu\/admissions\/english-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\">UCLA\u2019s English Proficiency Requirements<\/a> for more info)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Stats and GMAT Score for UCLA<\/h2>\n<p>The average <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anderson.ucla.edu\/degrees\/full-time-mba\/admissions\/class-profile\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GMAT score for UCLA Anderson School students<\/a> is 716. The GMAT score range for the middle 80% of students is 680-750. The average GPA is 3.5. Suffice to say, Anderson students are an academically robust cohort.<\/p>\n<p>The average graduating class size is 360. Students have an average 5 years of work experience.<\/p>\n<p>Tuition alone is about $56,909 per year for California residents, and $58,588 for non-residents.
