We\u2019re off and running:\u00a0Harvard Business School<\/strong> just announced an R1 deadline for the Class of 2021 of\u00a0Wednesday, September 5, 2018. And to keep everyone on their toes over the holidays, the HBS R2 deadline is Thursday, January 3, 2019.<\/p>\n

Columbia<\/strong> Business School<\/strong>, the only top US school that uses rolling admissions, has confirmed October 3, 2018 for its early action deadline.<\/p>\n

And we already know that INSEAD<\/strong> has R1 on Sept 19, 2018, R2 on November 14, R3 on January 9, 2019 and R4 on March 6 (2019). It\u2019s also worth noting that HEC Paris<\/strong> already closed its upcoming June 1st and July 1st deadlines<\/a> over a month early this year \u201cdue to the high volume of excellent applications.\u201d<\/p>\n

No Changes to HBS Essay<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In an HBS admissions blog<\/a> posted yesterday, director Chad Losee (now in his second year at the helm of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid), confirms that the HBS essay question remains the same. Meaning that it\u2019s still the maddeningly open-ended: \u201cAs we review your application, what more would you like us to know as we consider your candidacy for the Harvard Business School MBA Program?\u201d<\/p>\n

By early June of this year, HBS hopefuls can expect to access the Class of 2021 application. Note that HBS will host an optional webinar previewing the application on Wednesday, June 6.<\/p>\n
