You'll find that it is extremely comprehensive, offering its readers "head-to-head comparisons" of different b-schools (like in this MIT vs. Harvard post), webinars, in-depth reports on individual schools, original content on admissions news and rankings, and syndicated articles from other well-known sources.

The sites new rankings are, according to the BW post, "the centerpiece of Byrne's efforts." So far, Poets & Quants have featured two new rankings: the top 30 non-U.S. business schools and the top 50 U.S. business schools.

Byrne's rankings are calculated by combining the rankings of the five top rankings publications: Businessweek, Economist, Financial Times, Forbes, and U.S. News & World Report. Bryne claims that all MBA rankings are flawed, and that his will be "the most authoritative rankings ever published," which, according to the BW post, doesn't make much sense—how will combining five flawed statistics into one uber-flawed result in "the best and most reliable" ranking? It seems that the resulting rankings will testify to the wisdom of the line, popularized by Mark Twain. "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Bryne also plans on unveiling a unique report that analyzes and ranks the other ranking publications.

Are you interested in learning more about the value (and lack thereof) of school rankings?
