Harvard may have fired the starting pistol for the 2018-19 season, but Columbia\u2019s not far behind!<\/p>\n
CBS, a perennial early bird when it comes to prompt announcements, released this year\u2019s application last week. They\u2019ve shaken things up in an exciting way, changing two of their three questions.<\/p>\n
Long story short: CBS is placing less emphasis on applicant\u2019s personal interests, and more emphasis on teamwork.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re particularly big fans of prompt three, which should force applicants to think about teamwork like an MBA student should.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also worth reflecting on what CBS cut: The adcom clearly didn\u2019t feel like they were getting what they needed from last year\u2019s Essay 2 (how applicants would allocate their time at CBS) or Essay 3 (what are you most passionate about\/what would you do with a free day).
