And that\u2019s exactly what I\u2019m going to address.<\/p>\n<p>The answer is really very simple, and interestingly enough, there are two common traits. And these are the two common traits also identified by a Harvard Business School professor that I met with. And the two traits, the common denominators are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u2022<\/strong> Leadership<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022<\/strong> Impact<\/p>\n<p>Easy to say, easy to define, but not always so easy to provide.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h2-resize\">Demonstrating Leadership in Your Harvard MBA Application<\/h2>\n<p>Leadership means that you\u2019ve motivated others, you\u2019ve assumed responsibility, you\u2019ve initiated, you\u2019ve managed, you\u2019ve administered. Those kinds of qualities. It can be in a large group, it can be in a small group, in can be on the job, it can be off the job. It can be in college, it can be in sports, the arts, a religious organization, ethnic group, all kinds of venues. But realize that <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.accepted.com\/harvard-b-school-habit-leadership\/\">Harvard wants to see a habit of leadership<\/a>. Not just one time, one activity, or one place, but a habit of leadership. And they are serious about that.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h2-resize\">Demonstrating Impact in Your Harvard MBA Application<\/h2>\n<p>This means that your leadership, your participation, your activism, and your initiative made a difference. What were the results of your leadership? Talking about the results, showing results, and showing that you made a difference \u2013 this will show that you had impact.<\/p>\n<p>And again, what you want \u2013 if you want to be on the right side of the application piles of the Harvard admissions office \u2013 is to be able to <a href=\"https:\/\/reports.accepted.com\/leadership-in-admissions-2\">show leadership<\/a> and impact.<\/p>\n<p>This is Linda Abraham with Eye on Admissions.
