We\u2019re excited to welcome Dr. Jef Davis<\/a> to our staff.<\/p>\n

Dr. Davis has worked for almost 30 years in international program management at the university level as chief immigration official at several schools. While at Youngstown State University, Jef also supervised the English Language Institute and other programs for international students. He has taught academic classes and English as a Second Language. Jef has travelled to more than 30 countries for his work.<\/p>\n

Dr. Davis has served as a consultant and trainer on topics related to international admissions, immigration policy, intercultural effectiveness, and data analysis with such institutions as the US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the Wharton School of Business, and the Eller College of Management.<\/p>\n

Assisting international students, minorities, and applicants from underprivileged homes gain acceptance<\/a> to the most competitive undergraduate and graduate programs \u2013 especially in business, engineering, and natural sciences \u2013 is Dr. Davis\u2019 specialty.<\/p>\n

His educational background provided an outstanding foundation for his career and current work. Dr. Davis earned his bachelor\u2019s degree is in biology from University of Akron, where he also minored in philosophy. He then earned a Masters degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from Ball State and a graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Clark University. Jef completed is education by earning a PhD in International Higher Education from Boston College.<\/p>\n
