Although this approach and structure yield easily comprehensible academic work, business school application essays are constrained by word count\u2014so candidates often must use alternative, less lengthy openings because they do not have the luxury of \u201cwasting\u201d 100 words to introduce their topic.<\/p>\n
We recommend sometimes using the \u201cnon-introduction\u201d introduction, depending on the context and pace of your story. Still, everyone hates indecision.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The applicant does not \u201cown\u201d this idea and cannot lay claim to this statement. A simple alternative would be to insert his\/her personal experience and viewpoint into the sentence:<\/p>\n \u201cI found myself back in the boardroom with Steve, anticipating that yet again, he would change his mind on the mbaMission file.\u201d By discussing your personal and unique experiences, you demonstrate ownership of your story while engaging your reader.
