Although Stanford Graduate School of Business has stayed in the top spot, there was a lot of shuffling around of the other top 9. Most notably, Harvard Business School rose to the #2 spot after falling to 5th place last year.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a lot of movement in the <em>FT<\/em> ranking, the mix of countries in the list has stayed stable. The UK continues to be a strong force. The number of schools from Australia, India, and Singapore is comparable to 2017 or 2016.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h2-resize\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Top 100 Schools by Country<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44628\" src=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-100-Schools-by-Country.jpg\" alt=\"Top 100 Schools by Country\" width=\"614\" height=\"859\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-100-Schools-by-Country.jpg 614w, https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-100-Schools-by-Country-214x300.jpg 214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <em>FT<\/em> began its business school rankings in the late 1990s. Twenty years later, a total of 150 schools participated in this year\u2019s<em> FT<\/em> survey. All participating schools met the <em>FT<\/em>\u2019s entry criteria. For the 2019 edition, alumni of the class of 2015 were surveyed. Approximately 8,000 alumni completed the survey (38% response rate).<\/p>\n<p>The ranking was comprised of 20 different criteria. Alumni responses were responsible for 8 criteria, with a total weight of 61%. School data accounted for 11 criteria, with a total weight of 29%. The research rank counted for the final 10%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accepted.com\/mba\/selectivity-index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-42076 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/MBA-selectivity-index-CTA.jpeg\" alt=\"View our MBA selectivity index!\" width=\"700\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/MBA-selectivity-index-CTA.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/MBA-selectivity-index-CTA-300x107.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the highlights from the rankings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"spacing\">This is the second year in a row that <a href=\"https:\/\/reports.accepted.com\/mba\/stanford_graduate_school_of_business_webinar\">Stanford GSB<\/a> not only takes the top overall spot, but also had alumni with the highest weighted average salary ($228,074, increased from $214,742) and career progress.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\">HBS ranked 1st as the school alumni would recruit graduates from. They also had the second highest weighted salary ($205,486) and rose 15 places to a joint 1st place in the research rank.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reports.accepted.com\/get-accepted-to-insead\">INSEAD<\/a>, at #3, is the highest ranked MBA program in Europe. Their weighted salary of $179,661 was the highest for European schools and above the average of $137,900.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\">China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) rose from 8th to 5th place this year. This is the school\u2019s highest position ever, and the highest <em>FT<\/em> rank ever attained by an Asian school.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\">Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a criterion for the first time this year. University of Virginia, Darden has taken the top spot for having a large portion of its core curriculum on the subject.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\">Fudan University School of Management (Shanghai) had the largest increase over pre-MBA salaries. There was a whopping 195% increase after graduation, with an average salary of $110,062.<\/li>\n<li class=\"spacing\">University of Florida-Warrington was ranked top in value for money based on alumni salary, course length, tuition costs, and income lost during the MBA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"h2-resize\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Top 10 B-Schools<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44627\" src=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-10-MBA-Programs-chart.jpg\" alt=\"Top 10 B-Schools\" width=\"618\" height=\"712\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-10-MBA-Programs-chart.jpg 618w, https:\/\/gmatclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Top-10-MBA-Programs-chart-260x300.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Financial Time<\/em> Work &amp; Careers editor, Isabel Berwick, is promising to \u201cre-examine\u201d the <em>FT<\/em> rankings for relevance and also possibly develop additional rankings.
