#5 Georgia Institute of Technology<\/b><\/p>\n

Atlanta, GA<\/i><\/p>\n

Georgia Tech<\/a> has the largest College of Engineering in the U.S. and offers more than 50 different degree programs at the bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and doctoral levels. A big school means a lot of minds to mingle with, and Georgia Tech has over 40 engineering specific clubs <\/a>and over 400 other student organizations to explore.<\/p>\n

#4 University of California – Berkeley<\/b><\/p>\n

Berkeley, CA<\/i><\/p>\n

The College of Engineering at UC Berkeley<\/a> offers top-ranked programs in every engineering field, from civil to nuclear.\u00a0 Berkley engineer alumnae have gone on to build iconic structures like the Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate Bridge<\/a> and to become leaders in technology\u2026maybe you\u2019ve heard of a little company called Apple?\u00a0 No matter what your interest, you\u2019ll be in good company here.<\/p>\n

#3 California Institute of Technology<\/b><\/p>\n

Pasadena, CA<\/i><\/p>\n

The smallest of the top five, Caltech<\/a> has just over 900 undergraduate students, but don\u2019t let its size fool you. Caltech is serious about engineering; even their mascot, the beaver, pays homage to nature\u2019s greatest engineer. Because of its size, students and faculty form a tight community that works hard but still has time for their long-standing tradition of pranking MIT, #1 on this list.<\/p>\n

#2 Stanford University<\/b><\/p>\n

Stanford, CA<\/i><\/p>\n

Stanford<\/a> is one of the top national universities in the U.S. Add that to the stellar resources of its Engineering program, and you\u2019ve got a combination that\u2019s hard to beat. You\u2019ll be in prime location at the heart of Silicon Valley, where Stanford has a global reputation for turning out innovators and entrepreneurs that have helped define the tech industry.<\/p>\n

#1 Massachusetts Institute of Technology<\/b><\/p>\n

Cambridge, MA <\/i><\/p>\n

It\u2019s no surprise that the MIT School of Engineering<\/a> is first on this list. Renown for its scientific and technology research, the School of Engineering is the largest of MIT\u2019s five schools and educates about 60 percent of MIT\u2019s undergraduates. Just over a third of MIT\u2019s faculty is in the School, accounting for more than half of the sponsored research at MIT. You\u2019ll be taking on the greatest technological and social problems with the best resources at your fingertips.<\/p>\n
