The one-year global management program will embark you on a transformational journey<\/em>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection\nCriteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each\napplicant to the Post Graduate Programme in Management at the Indian School of\nBusiness is holistically evaluated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isb.edu\/pgp\/admissions\/selection-criteria\">following parameters<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Academic Credentials<\/li><li>Leadership Potential<\/li><li>Personal Attributes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isb.edu\/pgp\/admissions\/admission-calendar\/For-Indian-Passport-Holders\">ISB Application Deadlines:<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So far, ISB has announced the deadline for only Round 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Round 1 Application Deadline: <\/strong>September 20, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interview Timeline<\/strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;October\n1 to November 10, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Decision Released<\/strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Mid\nNovember 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-Indian Origin Applicants: <\/strong>\"<em>To enable non-Indian origin applicants to complete\ntheir Visa formalities in time, we follow a rolling evaluation process for\nthem. Their application is evaluated, and their admission decision is\ncommunicated within six weeks of receiving the completed application<\/em>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Essays:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Like\nlast year, this year's applicants will also write two required essays for the PGP\nprogram. ISB has changed the first essay question. The second essay question about\ncareer goals remains unchanged. The word limit remains the same as last year-\n400 words for each essay. So, the applicants will have 800 words to showcase\ntheir candidacy to the admission committee. With significant self- reflection,\ncareful planning, and preparation, you can present an impressive and convincing\npicture of your candidacy as well as your 'fit' with the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note\nthat ISB's online application will not accept even one word over the limit of\neither of its essays.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us take a closer look at the\nessay questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essay 1:<\/strong> <strong>Describe with examples the most important personal quality that you possess that significantly enhances your prospects of being successful as a leader? (400 words max)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After\nhaving asked the applicants\nfor five years in a row why they should be selected as part of the PGP program,\nISB now requires them to think about 'a single most important personal quality'\nthat would make them a great leader. This is a challenging question that\nrequires you to do a significant amount of self-reflection before you sit down to\npen your first draft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin with, think of all those times when\nyou had demonstrated leadership and jot them down. Your stories may not\nnecessarily be from your professional realm; you can select leadership\nexperiences from any area: personal life, community involvement, or\nentrepreneurial venture.<strong> <\/strong>Then focus on the unique attributes that enabled you to\ndemonstrate leadership and achieve results. Ask yourself questions about your\npersonal qualities that led to your success as a leader. Was it your\nperseverance and never- say- die attitude, talent to convince others of your\ninnovative ideas, ability to resolve conflicts, willingness to take initiatives,\nor courage to take calculated risks, and so on? Please note that ISB is asking\nyou to share only one quality, so you need to finally zero in on one dominant\nquality that was responsible for your success as a leader. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now\nillustrate that quality by sharing your 2-3 most powerful leadership anecdotes.\nPlease remember the 'how' part of your story\/ accomplishment is as important as\nthe 'what' part. Wrap up your essay explaining how you envision that this\npersonal quality will ensure your success as a future leader that will make a meaningful\nin the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essay 2:<\/strong> <strong>What are your short-term and long-term career goals? How will Post Graduate Program at ISB assist you in achieving your goals? (400 words max)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a straightforward <a href=\"https:\/\/myessayreview.com\/mba-topics\/career-goals-why-mba-essay\/\">goals essay<\/a> that requires you to make a logical connection between your past, present, and future. This means your story should connect your past (work-experience and skills), present (your need for an MBA from ISB to achieve your goals), and your future (goals and objectives).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Begin\nby detailing out your short term and long-term career objectives. Be as\nspecific as you can in articulating the industry, function, and the companies\nthat interest you (give 2-3 names). Please make sure to demonstrate a\nlogical connection between your short-term and long-term goals. In other\nwords, explain how you will move from step 1 to step 2. Explain what you\nwill do\/ learn in your target company. How will this role prepare you for your\nlong-term goal? What will you be doing in 10 years from now, and what impact do\nyou see yourself taking on the world?\nMake sure that your goals are realistic as well as ambitious. That is, if you\naim for a technology or a consulting role, you will need to demonstrate that\nyou already possess some skills\/ experience in that area and are now seeking to\nenhance those skills. Likewise, if you are a career changer, you should provide\nevidence as to how your current skill set would facilitate this transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though\nthe question does not ask you to discuss your career history, I would still\nencourage you to provide a brief account of the knowledge and experience you\nhave gained in your professional career so far. Then summarize the skills and\nareas of knowledge that you need to fulfill your professional goals and how\nmanagement education can help bridge the gap between your skills and future\ngoals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once\nyou have elaborated on the need for management education, explain how ISB's PGP\nprogram is your best bet at this time? How is it in line with your goals? To\ncraft an effective response, you should have a thorough understanding of the\nschool's resources (curriculum, faculty, clubs, organizations, and student-led\nactivities). You may also reach out to alumni and current students to get\nadditional insights into the school's resources and culture. Also, attend\nwebinars to gain additional knowledge of the program. Your familiarity with the\nprogram is crucial to explain how the PGP program at ISB will bring you closer\nto your dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since\nyou have only 400 words to explain your professional objectives and their link\nto the PGP program of ISB, you need to be extremely precise in presenting your\ncase and\n<a href=\"https:\/\/myessayreview.com\/essay-tips\/helpful-tips-meet-stringent-word-limits-mba-essays\/\">make every word count<\/a>.
