Most top business schools have released their MBA application deadlines for 2023-2024. Some schools have also officially opened their applications, and many have shared essay questions.<\/p>\n<p>If you are applying in Round 1, now is the time to get started. By July, we recommend that Round 1 applicants have solidified their test score, drafted their MBA resume, selected their recommenders, and honed their \u2018personal brand\u2019 (i.e., what they\u2019ve done, what they want to do, and why they need an MBA to do it). There is still time to catch up if you are behind, but don\u2019t delay much longer or you risk sacrificing the quality of your applications \u2013 the first of which can take 50+ hours to complete!<\/p>\n<p>Remember, when you apply matters.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.darden.virginia.edu\/mba\/admissions\/apply\/early-action\">Early action programs<\/a>\u00a0tend to have higher acceptance rates but are typically binding commitments. Round 1 is the optimal round for most applicants, especially those with 4+ years of work experience or who are applying from an over-represented background like consulting. But at the end of the day, the most important factor is\u00a0<strong>what<\/strong>\u00a0you submit. So, weigh the factors but don\u2019t sacrifice quality for speed (see our longer article on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vantagepointmba.com\/2019\/06\/11\/round-1-or-round-2\/\">Round 1 vs. Round 2<\/a>\u00a0if you\u2019re on the fence).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t put forth your best effort for all of your target programs in Round 1, it is possible to split your applications between Round 1 and Round 2. Just know that you may have to commit to a Round 1 school before receiving a final answer from your Round 2 schools \u2013 prioritize accordingly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are the MBA application deadlines for 2023-2024 that have been announced so far.
