To find:
    • The value of the expression \((\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{3}) + (\frac{1}{3} - \frac{1}{4}) + (\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{5}) + (\frac{1}{5} - \frac{1}{6})\)

Approach and Working:
From the expression \((\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{3}) + (\frac{1}{3} - \frac{1}{4}) + (\frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{5}) + (\frac{1}{5} - \frac{1}{6})\), if wwe rewrite it by removing the brackets, we get:
    • \(\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{3} - \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{5} + \frac{1}{5} - \frac{1}{6}\)
    = \(\frac{1}{2} - \frac{1}{6}\)
    = \(\frac{1}{3}\)

Hence, the correct answer is option C.

Opening up the brackets

Will it really matter? (2+3)-(1+1) results in 3. Which is same as 2+3-1-1 and results in 3. Now in our case the sign outside the brackets is +. So you can deal with them as you want :)

1/2 -1/3 = 1/6
1/3 -1/4=1/12.....1/20...1/30

LCM = 60

10+5+3+2 = 20/60 = 1/3

This is lengthy method.So just open all the brackets you will get 1/2- 1/6 = 2/6= 1/3

Bunuel, are there more difficult Questions tested on this same Question type/ pattern?
I think I have seen one and it tested the same thing. Could you please provide a list of the same here?

Not sure if there’s some specific thing being tested here - is there a specific name of the concept being tested? It’d be great if you could help me with these
