My answers are (1) E and (2)E.

As for (1), neither the average nor the median gives any picture of deviations. Thus, both are insufficient. Thus E

In (2), I presume v^3 - k^3 is to be determined(cubed v - cubed k).

But v^3 - k^3 = (v-k) (v^2+vk+k^2)

Neither (1) nor (2) can give us the value. Both together also cannot give us any value. Thus E.
