Salary of A:B on year ago = 3:4 or 3x:4x..
Now let us take them imdividually
A : change = 4:5, last year it was 3x and this year let it be A. $$..4:5=3x:A....A*4=3x*5...A=\frac{15x}{4}$$
B : change = 2:3, last year it was 4x and this year let it be B. $$..2:3=4x:B....B*2=4x*3...B=\frac{12x}{2}=6x$$
Thus total this year = $$\frac{15x}{4}+6x=\frac{39x}{4}=4160........x=\frac{4*4160}{39}=\frac{4*320}{3}$$

We are looking for value of A, which is $$\frac{15x}{4}=\frac{15*4*320}{4*3}=5*320=1600$$
