Hi Folks,

My target MBA programs in the UK require either an IELTS score of 7.5 or a TOEFL of 110. Which of the two is easier to get in your opinion? I recently studied for the GMAT and scored 34 (and before that 37 in a previous GMAT exam) in Verbal. How much time do you think should I plan in for preparation?

Feedback is much appreciated and thank you so much,
Tobias

Hey Tobias Johannes ,

Here is a detailed post that can help you understand more on these two exams:

If you are still confused, try to take a mock of each and determine which one seems more comfortable and go for it.

All the best :-)

Let us know which exam you finally appeared for and how much did you score. I am also facing the same dilemma.

Thx for the feedback! I was actually more referring to the difficulty level of both in terms of required score. A 110 out of 120 possible points for the TOEFL seems a little higher than a 7.5 out of 9 for the IELTS, right? Since, I am only getting started I can still switch between test. Cheers

Hey Tobias Johannes ,

I would consider the two marks almost equal. The best advice I could give you is to take mock of each and determine with which one are you most comfortable with.

All the best :-)

I think this is not really logical to compare them with each other. Toefl is one exam IELTs is another. in some parts IELTS is dificult on the other hand IELTS is difficult too.

Sorry, I did not understand? Did you mean to say, "in some parts TOEFL is difficult on the other hand IELTS is difficult too", if yes - Could you please share the differences!
